Best radios for the price but, keep when away from water.
I love these things. They make me feel like a kid but, they don't look like they are toys. The addition of the lamp is nice but it's so dim it's basically just there to waste battery. The Batteries that came with the radio were only 300 mAH batteries which I haven't used since I switched them out for my own 2800 mAH rechargeable batteries. The sound quality is good.I can clearly hear what the other is saying even with some distance. Just know they are not Water proof. They have a version for that. I sent one out with my buddy on a Kayak. It worked just fine with a little but of lake spray but once his cup holder with the radio in it filled up, the radio broke. The radio turns on, receives messages but the buttons don’t work. It does charge though.

Generally good, but batteries that come with it don't hold up
The first issue I hit was the way the instructions are written for setting the channel makes it sound like you press (and hold) the Menu button, but all that does is toggle the keypad lock!!! I finally figured out that what you do is press and release the Menu button, then the channel number will flash and you can change it. If you don't want to change the channel press the Menu button again and it will advance to the sub-channel option. Likewise you can keep pressing and releasing the Menu button to move though the other configuration options. So if you are having problems getting the channel number to flash following the instructions try a quick press and release and that should do it. The sound quality is pretty good, we haven't tried long range yet but it seems to work well enough for the task we have in mind. The weather radio works about as good as our dedicated weather radio with aluminum siding, which is to say the signal is a bit weak, but that's not really the radio's fault. Where it falls down big time is with the rechargeable batteries that come with it. After a full charge they dropped to one bar after only about 5 or 6 minutes of testing the radios. I've tried another full charge to see it they get any better. But I suspect the batteries are junk, so I'll likely use the better grade batteries I use for our Shure wireless mics. Just a pain to need to use a separate charger in that case, and of course I'll try regular Alkaline batteries as well. But for the price, other than the batteries, these appear to be pretty decent.

Weak batteries, poor button design, no weather channel
New and freshly charged, the radios we received are lucky to last 30 minutes of use on any of three occasions yet. It could be due to the fact that the flashlight button turns on the LED light even when the radio is not powered on. A slight knock will turn it on - and keep it on until knocked again - which makes transporting them without draining them in a pack difficult unless the batteries are removed. Also, the "lamp" button shows a cloud with a lightning bolt that's deceiving. On my old Motorola radios, this button icon was for the weather channel, marine alerts where we live. On this GOCOM model, it has nothing to do with weather, unless the light it turns on is somehow magically powered by thunderclouds instead of the weak batteries included with these radios.

Excellent Talkies
AWESOME!!! These walkie talkies Worked great on our recent camping trip for when the kids (ages 8 , 10 & 12) were exploring the campground. These are great way to stay in contact with the kids while also allowing them the freedom to explore. It really helped the parents and the kids knowing they could stay safe communicating with these awesome devices. Absolutely loved the power save function on these. We used them for the 3 day/2 night trip. They were excellent and worked perfectly. There were a few times where they got dropped, but they held up super well… Very sturdy in Durable! They survive my kids… So that’s saying a lot! My family definitely recommend these.

Returned them - Completely useless
These walkie-talkies were awful. They charged up just fine, and the double ended charging cable was nice. But the battery ran out within 15 minutes. I had gone for a walk around the neighborhood to test them out and they kept automatically turning off. Once I turned my set back on (multiple times) my kids only heard about every other transmission, until I got to about 1/4 mile from home then they didn't hear a single thing. The walkie completely died a few minutes later. Needless to say, I returned them.

These little guys have it all... Camping season here we come.
We needed a new adult set for camping this season. These are RECHARGABLE, Amen!! They charge quickly and seem to last a long while. They come with an earset, which is very nice in shared camp areas with the mouth my husband has on him.. lol and they have clear, crisp sound which is easy to understand. They are also have a flashlight and weather channel access. Perfect walkie talkies for the GROWN UPS who still find them useful, and now I won't have to walk around with a bright pink child's walkie talkies when I leave camp. We've not tested total distance on these yet, but what we have tested so far has been good. They come with everything you need to be up and running... Rechargable batteries, cords, clips... The whole 9 yards. They have a nice heft to them so they don't feel cheap, but are still lightweight and easy to clip on without them dragging your clothes down. Read the instructions to access all the functions, because they all aren't labeled with their own button, but very simple to figure out and use. They also have a VOX function so they work when you speak without pressing the talk button.

Tienen buen alcance y calidad, lo malo es que las baterías que vienen incluidas son de muy poca capacidad y no duran lo suficiente así que es mejor ponerle unas de mayor capacidad pero luego de 4 meses uno ya no prendió
