This tombow applicator seems to work very well for most materials. I tend to use this applicator for tasks involved in picture framing. I use it to secure the mat to the foam core board. The adhesive is very very good for paper products, so it works really well for my uses. I also used it to secure bubble wrap in the inside lining of a socket set in order to keep the sockets from moving. It had a harder time applying to the smooth injection-molded plastic but in the end it worked fine. It was just a bit more fussy to apply. The applicator is between 3-4 inches long and 1.5-2 inches wide. It fits easy in the palm of your hand. Buying this will get you the applicator and one 1/3"x472" roll of double-sided adhesive. You can order a set of three refill cartridges on Amazon as well. When I first opened the package for this Tombow Permanent Adhesive, the flap that closes and protects the tape from getting dry/stuck on other materials when not in use, I thought it was broken because the flap opens so easily without much force. I thought that it felt cheap, but after using it for a few DIY, I got used to it. I've used 2 other craft tape such as these before using the Tombow one, and I have to say that the Tombow one is the best out of the 3 I tried. I find that this tape's flap makes it easy to open for convenient and fast rolling/taping, which is good! The adhesive on this roller is sticky and keeps things where I want them to be/stay. I was surprised how well it stuck on the papers, without having to reapply on the same area if I missed the spot. I usually only have to apply it once, and it covers the area perfectly! This tape is good because there are refills for it, meaning we don't have to discard the tape cases every time we buy them. You can find their refills on their Amazon shop as well.

Use this tape when making cards- works perfectly!

While this "permanent adhesive" or simply, glue, definitely works on contact, you’ll always face a trade-off. It’s easiest to apply on larger objects, such as paper, but you’ll also use more of it. 2nd, the smaller the piece of paper you’re trying to glue, the harder it is to apply! I’m using it to put small (1/2” x ¾”) pictures of icons of moles, molecules, & grams in a notebook I’m using for an on-line chemistry class, in order to help me learn the material. I found that the best way of applying the glue to this small of an object is to turn it over, and apply the glue in 2 crossed “swipes”, in order to create an “X” of glue. This seems to work much better than trying to apply the glue directly to the page, because I never fail to cover some extra area of the page that I didn’t want to cover. This forces me to write on less open areas of the page. Still HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I’m sure that you’ll give this glue a full 5* rating if you don’t encounter the same issues that I did.

I purchased this on the suggestion of a planner person that I follow on IG. Did not set myself up with any expectations and ended up pleasantly surprised! The applicator causes no messiness, adhesion is strong, and can't go wrong with the price! I've purchased a few replacement refills, love this product. I keep it at my desk at all time, use it almost daily.

I have been using this product for many years and have never had anything but a great experience with it. One of the reviews I read said to buy Staples brand - DON'T do it. After reading that I felt I needed to write a review. I am pretty sure I have tried every brand on the market and Staples brand was worthless - they ended up in the trash. The adhesive jammed up constantly and the adhesive was not as strong. Don't waste your money trying to save a few cents, in the end you will waste tape, ruin projects and frustration levels will soar.

I purchased this to seal up goodie bags I printed myself. I ran a strip up along the bottom, top, and along the long crease that made up the back of the bag. Wow! This tape sealed these bags and held them together for days. I made the bags in advance and was prepared for the tape to give before the event. Nope! Very strong. In fact, I kept an empty goodie bag I sealed up and months later, it is still sealed. I would highly recommend the Tombow 62106 MONO Permanent Adhesive Applicator. The applicator is super easy to use. This is a great value for the price I paid and the adhesion is factory-grade when putting together chip covers or goodie bags.

It’s excellent!

Excellent invisible adhesive for sealing birthday or greeting cards without the need for licking the envelope. If you're like me and absolutely can't take the feeling and lasting flavor left in your mouth after licking an envelope to seal it, these invisible adhesive tapes do the job just right and no one will know that you used tape and did not lick the envelope. When this is applied it looks exactly like the lick-able adhesive already present on the envelope. This is just one of my favourite uses for this adhesive runner. Hope this helps!
