Easy to use, very effective, the Velcro grips and isn’t hard and spiky
Easy to use, but if you have concerns, there are good videos online demonstrating how to successfully use Velcro rollers, something I found very helpful at first. I also asked my hairdresser’s advice on placement of the rollers as well as size - she said you don’t need to be precise. I let my hair air dry to about 80-90% dry without combing it which seems to help with body, then comb it with a wide toothed comb before winding the rollers perpendicular to my scalp for some lift in the style and no tangles when removing. (Give a slight sideways twist as you gently pull the roller up and unroll - this way hair shouldn’t pull out with the roller.) I use 1” rollers on my 2.5” very straight hair just around the crown. Once on rollers my hair is bone dry in less than 20 minutes depending on the humidity and at this stage I use a regular hair dryer for a couple of minutes to finish with a bit of heat (this also gives extra shine) - I then leave the rollers in as my hair cools for a minute resulting in an even better set. With practice it takes me about three minutes to put twelve rollers in and while in total my hair styling method isn’t quick, the bounce and body given to my hair lasts for days with no styling product. I have skin allergies to any styling products I have used over the past many years so this is a big plus and I’ve found using Velcro rollers far more successful than blow drying for me. (My hairdresser’s tip - if your curls are way too strong at first, just give a bit of a blow dry in the opposite direction. I never need to do this, mine softens in ten minutes.)

Not what I ordered!
I ordered pink with pink clips, but received blue with multi-color clips!? They also look way too jumbo!!

Do not recommend for fine hair. These tear my hair out and don’t stay in place without multiple clips. They’re also blue?!
