Not that good
The meat is extremely dry and it's spicy but it really has a bland spicy taste. This is the 3rd type of kalishi I ordered and this is the cheapest per ounce and the worst one. I would give it a 6 out of 10 for texture but a 2 out of 10 for taste. I'll never be buying it again.

The way God intended Kilishi to be.
More original than the common reddish one sold these days Having grown up in Kano, I was able to get kilishi in its original form as a child. This one is way closer to my childhood ones. The ones I find readily available in Nigeria these days are a far cry from the ones from my childhood. Unfortunately, most people are used to the reddish ones with specks of pepper seed showing and very thin beef underneath. Those came about during the days of austerity measures, they were a way to make kilishi cheaper. Layering connective tissue, fat, tendon, cardboard, or some other mystery meat with pepper and spices. Kilishi was never bright red with layers of stuff and little meat. This is how it was and how it always should be.

Worth the money
It was a lot in there. It is very thin and it was dried too much. As soon as I put in my Mouth, it will melt down like a paper touching water. The taste was there. however, it is worth the money

nothing close to original
as a true nigerian raised in africa, when i came to usa been looking for some dishes that reminds me of home and this was not close i give whoever made this A for effort texture wise not chewy, its more like a seasoned chip, wont recommend if you looking for something close to authentic

WARNING: DO NOT BUY!!!!
This is very bad! Beware. I thought the reviews were merely exaggerated. As a Nigerian, I was very disappointed. Couldn’t even go through it. It is dry, brittle and tastes stale. How is this still being offered for sale?
