I was skeptical when I saw these touted on social media, but they are the BEST LARGE CLAW CLIPS I'VE EVER OWNED! I started using this style of clip back in the late 90s because I have very thick, wavy-in-a-crazy-way hair. I'm not good at styling my hair, and wearing it up in any kind of bun or pony tail is painful because of the weight, so these types of clips are perfect. However, finding one that could actually contain and hold my hair was no small feat. So many of the ones I'd find were laughably small, and too many of the large ones had weak springs that were no match for my hair. Occasionally I'd find a winner, but after a short while the teeth would start to break, eventually leaving none in the middle and I'd have to start my search for a new one. In recent years it's become harder and harder to find large enough clips in the stores, and I was always wary of buying online because I couldn't test the strength of the spring before purchasing. I finally found one at a local beauty store, but sure enough the teeth started to break off almost immediately. Then I saw these featured on one of those "best Amazon products" lists that go around and the reviews from thick-haired girls like me were promising, plus the price was right for a 4-pack, so I took the chance. When they arrived, I was immediately unsure, because they are smaller than most of the ones I've had in the past. But to my surprise, THEY WORK, and not only that, they work BETTER than the rest I've owned. I often had to adjust the others every few hours, but these hold tight with no little bits of hair slipping out. I think maybe it's because they have these little spikes on the inside that help to grip. And while they are smaller than expected, the way they are shaped seems to allow more space for my hair than the larger ones, surprisingly. Also, the plastic isn't as rigid/brittle as my past ones, so I've worn these almost daily for over 3 months and not a single tooth has broken! I didn't think that was possible! The only downside I've found is that the matte finish has started to wear off, especially at the tips of the teeth, but the plastic underneath is the same color as far as I've noticed, so it's not that obvious and when I'm wearing the clip, the teeth are hidden in my hair anyhow. I will overlook the finish issues for the great clip performance. (I will say I'm skeptical of the shiny metal versions - those look like the "bad" stiffer plastic that my old clips were made of - but the matte black/beige/pink/green pack is what I bought and they are my favorite clips ever.) And even though I'm about to do my usual fall hair cut that will make my hair too short for these til spring, I'm about to order more (turquoise/blue/yellow/red) so I have them next summer. TL:DR: Best hair clips ever, even for my impossible-to-hold thick, wavy hair. Give them a try!

Hi everyone, okay so I've never had a hair claw clip before, as a woman with thick shoulder length hair always liked but never bought. So I took a chance after seeing mini videos. The appearance was higher than expected, they are soft, good size, love the colors & variety of options. Now for me a medium clip may have been better but I love them. Normally when I use one, I put my hair up in a pony tail & than the clip, that way it's outta my face. Can't clean house, work out, etc & it hold my hair in place. Clip quality is awesome & weight is light. The other cool thing is they are soft to the touch. Also dropped them & they haven't broken which is great. The square clips I'll give in stocking stuffers. For someone whos never had these growing up & into adulthood, I'm very happy. Hope this helps any of you pondering like it did

I bought these clips to replace my old trusty one (which, let's face it, had probably been around since the dawn of time). The new ones? Game changer. They’re big enough to hold my hair in place without me having to use a dozen bobby pins, and they come in these trendy, neutral colors that make me feel like I have my life together. (Beige? Khaki? I bought these bc of the rave reviews in the NYTimes/wirecutter. Before these, I used Goody claw clips that break SO easily. I’ve probably worn these daily for months and none have broken yet. So definitely better quality than the Goody ones (although I like the approximately 3-inch size that they make). The NYTimes review said these clips stay in place really well—even at the gym. And it’s true! I wear one daily to the gym and I never think about my hair. (Unless I’m lying down for strength work or yoga, in which case it’s not ideal to have a big plastic clip on the back of your head.) These clips are very secure for doing cardio. Way more so than a ponytail. When I first put one of these clips in my hair, it was heavier than I would prefer, and I could feel the weight of it pulling my hair a little across the top of my scalp. I was afraid that would bother me, but I got used to it quickly. That might be a deal breaker for someone with a sensitive head though. I have a lot of long hair, although the texture of my hair is quite fine. These clips work for me, but I wish they came in a 3-inch size because I think that would work better. I’m skeptical that these would work for someone with thin hair bc the clips are so big.

I have very thin hair and it’s hard to get a clip to hold my hair in. These clips are the best ones I've ever bought. They are the perfect size and the colors are really nice. I wished I would have found these sooner. So happy with my purchase.

Great quality my daughter loves these. Sturdy and strong and a variety of colours. Perfect for my daughters advent.

Love them, they are a good size and colours are nice. Although they took months to arrive and 1 was broken in half. So only 3 are usable which is pretty annoying.
