MiLight Magic At last
If like us you have 20+ MiLight lamps in various guises and RGB WW etc. then you too will have been frustrated to have not been able to use as control hub via Temu App. indirectly for Apple’s Home system on MATTER. (Cannot comment for other platforms) This white box of witchcraft varies currently in price but price of purchase here was cheapest found . It requires merely the infamous USB 5v and a basic set-up subscription. Those more involved than I will be able to write shortcuts to interface directly with Home. Temu app is poor and frustrating, and without instructions even for those of us that know how MiLight app works, it is blood pressure annoying. Just one little bit of code to segue directly into Home or other more intense hubs is seriously needed, but its operating reliability is so far faultless just not reproducing what was programmed often! This for is, is for the control of original MiLight lamps and NOT the new MATTER encoded lamps now entering retail. Configuration was stunning and unbelievably simple - press a single button as directed on your remote control… everything works perfectly on the App and still on the Remote controls too - very useful for “others” to use too

Did not work with my existing MiLight controllers
Check which controllers you have already and the detail of which MiLight controllers this device supports. The product description certainly did not make this clear to me. However, the vendor emailed me a "setup guide" which did make it clear, so I returned the product. If I have to change the controllers, I would rather use a completely different set of devices as well

Alternative to Phillips Hue!!!!
We purchased easybulb lights with a gateway in 2016 and at that time it was just to connect to your phone. We then moved house in 2018 and upgraded to milight bulbs so we could control the warm/cool light but never felt the need to pair to the phone because we realised we only ever used the remote so we forgot about the gateways. Recently we had a thought that was to pair the lights with our Alexa because we use it all the time, but we were unsure how best to do this with our old gateways. After a lot of research and a lot of failure we found this gateway from a sub-brand of milight and easybulb which allows for voice control and so we bought it. We then downloaded the miboxer app and linked the bulb following the instructions in no time at all and tested the in app remote where all works perfect. We then went to Alexa app, logged in to our account on the milight smart skill and it had discovered the gateway/light straight away, so added it and was able to control all aspects like colour, brightness, on/off just like any other voice control light. I should point out that voice control is connecting to the gateway rather than the zones so we are going to buy a gateway for each room we want voice control with, where each gateway will control all the bulbs in that room with Alexa, but if we choose to use the app we can set up zones just like the remote. We think this is the best option out there because it is cheaper and we get a full colour remote just like an app, which we couldn't find with any alternative. So if you want to start this system you will need: • milight bulbs (easybulb should work as well but we have not tried yet) • this miboxer gateway • we also use the colour remote that goes with the bulb most of the time but if you're only going to use voice/app then you don't need it • I dont know everything the brands sell but we would recommend you download the miboxer app before you purchase the bulbs to make sure the remote needed is compatible with the gateway because I can't guarantee that all bulbs work because I don't know what remotes the combination of these brands use. Also one thing we were confused about was when signing in to the skill it looked as though it wanted a phone number but you just set it to your country then put in the email address of your account. All in all you should go for this if you want smart lights at a good price with the bonus that you can also have a full colour remote!!!

Big Shame..
The product worked for 3 weeks then stopped connecting to the spotlights - big shame because when they worked it was awesome - sent them back and Amazon refunded me.

Not worth it
It will only work for one zone so not worth it And you need to have 2.4 channel And it’s says compatible with google but I don’t think so

It works as it should excellent
I have heard a lot about this and people saying it does not work, maybe your set up is not compatible. Please see compatibility on the product page. For me it worked a charm. Its fully installed and i now have my remote that works as well as my phone app and Alexa.
