It came in great condition. I bought a used one and it looks like it was used once. You could’ve told me it was new and I would’ve believed you. The book content itself makes me cry. Would not recommend buying this book for fun.

This is a workbook of the odd numbered solutions, not the textbook. The mistake was on my part for not being more diligent, but didn't see "workbook" listed anywhere. The pdf version of the book (with answers) is available online if you just search, so save yourself the time and money.

Used this for second semester calculus. Examples are pretty unclear. Practice problems do not start easy and gradually get harder, you sometimes find the third or fourth problems are the hardest. I wish my instructor chose to use Thomas' Calculus for this class.

If you want to save money, most of the university courses I've found online that list this book as their text also mention that the 7th ed. is fine. Mine was the same. Email your prof before classes start and see if the seventh will do. There's probably an old pdf they can give you with edition-correct suggested problems for each class. Don't buy the solutions manual--solutions for it (and the 7th) are on slader. The book itself is pretty great if keeping textbooks is something you like to do. It is comprehensive (and heavy!) and has lots and lots and lots of exercises for each section, which is a wonderful thing when something only kinda-sorta makes sense and you need to practice. Plus, the questions start easy and scale reliably. It only has solutions to odd-numbered questions.

Book is well packed in brand new condition and delivery is faster than planned and the vendor left a personal notes which indicates it comes with solution book, which is appreciated!

I received this textbook for such a good price, and the condition was better than expected!
