Great fine motor skill
I love this bead set. It has wooden sticks at the end of each string that make it easier for little fingers to thread a bead onto the string. The other end of each string has a tip (like the end of a shoelace) that allows for another practice of fine motor skills as the tip is thinner than the stick and takes a bit more concentration and skill than the wooden ends. I like that it has both types of ends as each type provides a different fine motor practice skill. The beads are beautiful. colorful, smooth, nice size hole. Each bead is another shape. Some are animals, some are foods. Having cute beads makes beading so much more enjoyable and turns a skill building activity into a really fun activity. I am really happy that I chose this set.

Great value
Upon first glance and using these with my 2.5 year old, I really like them. Very cute designs with vibrantly colored fruits and veggies and different animal shapes. The dowels attached to the strings aren’t super sharp like some reviewers claim. It looks like a little Putt putt golf pencil or something similar. It has a pointed end but doesn’t seem SHARP like some people exaggerated. The only thing I dislike about these is there’s no stopper. Once the beads are strung, whether via the dowel or the shoe lace end, there is nothing to keep the beads from falling all off. A little clip or something would be handy. I happen to have mini clothes pins from a craft project and will try those. The beads themselves are small but not too small. They seem like a great size for toddlers to manipulate and work on their motor skills.

Entertaining for little ones
Picked up for OT for my 2 year old, and this became one of her favorite things to do. The leads on the lacing strings are a good size for her hand, and the points are dull so she won't accidentally hurt herself. The beads offer a nice variety of shapes/sizes and are interesting to look at. The storage bag keeps everything together and the bright orange is easy to spot in a messy toy area.

Great for all children’s learning
My children have a terminal disease that is neurological and gives them a lifespan of up to 15 years of age. That being said this product has been amazing in their skill building and occupational learning. Great product and I’ve recommended it to several therapists and even schools in my area.

Great for sorting and language development!
We purchased this for our 19 month old granddaughter. YES, it needs to be supervised at this age as the pieces will fit in a toddler's mouth. Wood "needles" are like a short bamboo knitting needle with the point cut off a bit. Also received the shoelace style set as a gift. She is much more successful with the wood needles and asks for them every day. These seem well made with cute art work. I think this set will hold her interest for a long time. It's also more fun for me to think of new ways to sort the objects while working on language development.

This is great but it is missing the letter O which is disappointing.
