I play a top end Mandolin and i've always used these top end product.

First time I had changed mandolin strings so was a bit worried by some of the reviews saying that these strings had snapped easily. Took a bit of time since as I said I hadn't changed strings before but fitted fairly easily and brought up to tune slowly (had bought an electronic tuner at the same time). So far no issue with strings snapping or going out of tune too quickly. I would always expect new strings on guitar to take a bit of time to bed in and stretch anyway so don't expect mandolin to be any different. Mandolin sounds better than when it was new so I'm well pleased.

Good value strings, easy to fit and sound bright. Definitely an improvement on the tired old ones. There are clearly more expensive strings on the market, but I am only a beginner and probably couldn't tell the difference. These seem good enough to me.

String choice is of course down to personal taste, so any review on strings is bound to be subjective. My four star review is not based therefore on the weight of the strings as that would be useless. What I will faoucs on is the quality of the strings and for the price range D'Addario simply produce the best. Phosphor bronze produces a warmer sound than their brighter nickel counterparts. If this is what your looking for this light set is for you. PROS: -Well produced, quality strings -Good life span CONS: -None

Las cuerdas sacan muy buen sonido. Es la primera vez que las uso y me han sorprendido por el volumen y el brillo que producen. Todo un acierto para la mandolina.

Habe die Saiten gekauft da der Name D'Addario auch bei Gitarrensaiten eine der besten Optionen ist und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Meine Günstige Mandoline klingt gleich viel besser mit diesen Saiten und durch die Stärke kann ich auch einen ganzen Ton tiefer stimmen ohne Spannung und dadurch klang ein büßen zu müssen

The price was very good, and I got them very quickly. I have just started playing the mandolin and I had bought an instrument off of Craig's list with a broken string. Because I am a beginner, I don't have the experience to speak as an expert, but I can say they sound good to me and they have been on my instrument for about a week and are settling down and not getting very far out of tune from day to day, so the stretching is already almost done with them. My friend who has played for a number of years told me that this brand of strings are very good, and the price I paid was cheaper than I could have paid for them here in a music store in our city.
