Slide-Glide Gun Lube, Standard, Tub (Medium Viscosity) Applications:60+ degrees F Semi-automatic, Centerfire Firearms Revolvers, Rifles and Shotguns Advantages over other oils and greases:It softens felt recoil in semi-autos It is super stringy - it stays where you put it - forever. It is blended with the highest-grade extreme pressure compound available. Working with a fellow shooter and lubrication engineer, I developed Slide-Glide over the course of my twenty-year professional competitive shooting career. Slide-Glide provides a dramatic improvement in lubrication compared to conventional oils and greases such as lithium, or lithium-based metallic greases containing molybdenum or graphite. It is engineered to have a stringy characteristic that prevents tracking or shearing on sliding metal surfaces. It stays put - ceaselessly dragging itself back into the friction areas of the cycling slide and barrel. Its stringy characteristic keeps the grease between the moving parts - noticeably softening the felt recoil of semi-atuomatic pistols. Your pistol just feels smoother when you shoot it. And Slide-Glide isn't just for pistols. It slicks up revolver actions, pump and semi-automatic shotguns, semi-automatic, bolt and lever-action rifles, and even your favorite reloading press. It has many, many uses - apply it to hinges, latches, and bearings of all types. If friction is involved, put some Slide-Glide on it. Be creative. Packaging includes cleaning and application instructions.

*AMAZING* *SUPER* SLIDE GLIDE FOR THE ICONIC 1911
Well for my two RIA M1911-A1s anyways..... Still use Breakfree CLP for cleaning and wipe down. Started the lube conditioning on the 1911s by sanding the rails and rail grooves on frame and slide with 600 grit automotive sand paper to remove the parkerized finish on the rails and grooves. Took my time did a thorough job (old school no dremel). Then use some Mother's Mag Polish in very small amounts to the rails and slide grooves and work slide back and fourth many, many, many times and wipe clean. Turned out with some nice and shiny rails and grooves ready for Slide-Glide.Applied Slide-Glide with a flat toothpick, bout 2 dabs along rail (frame) and grooves (slide) - a little goes a long way. This stuff stays put, doesn't evaporate like gun oil. This tub should last for years I believe. Applied also to a full length guide rod, reverse spring plug and bull barrel (all on compact). Slide movement is smooth as glass now.Have since purchased a Dispensing Syringes 5cc / 5ml pack of 10 with tip caps with a 1/2 inch blunt needle 14 gauge for a more precise application of this fine lubricant on my M1911-A1s, a pump shotgun and also the BCG for an AR15.Have been totally AMAZED by this SUPER product named Slide-Glide. With the polishing of the feed ramp and application of Slide-Glide, my RIA 1911s run with zero hic-ups with over 500 rnds now. Felt recoil seems reduced with Slide-Glide and the installation of (full size) 17lb and (compact size) 22lb "flat" recoil springs.Definitely recommend this for all you 1911 owners and any semi auto pistol owner out there. Try it. You won't be disappointed. Has a familiar smell of 90wt gear oil. Thank You Brian Enos and Amazon. Order received very quickly.Remember this week of Veterans Day: quote unknown " Heroes don't wear capes and tights, they wear dog tags and combat boots" Thank You. JD590.

Firearm stays lubricated
Never worry again about gun oil drying up, dissipating or being forced away from its location on repeated friction areas of mating parts. It stays where you put it and it lubricates even when used sparingly by massaging it onto/on surfaces. Protects against corrosion on surfaces for firearm long term storage also. Just run the finger test by rubbing your thumb and index finger together with it. Wipe both of your fingers off real good with a clean paper towel and rub them together again. Still slick and working! I am in love with this grease and it's money well spent for worry free lubrication at it's best. A real time saver also because I know it is still there working and at the ready with no reapplication over time on extended periods of non use. Just buy it because it improves function and protects your trusted companion. I'm finding other uses for it also in home and auto applications.

Great Grease for Gun Slides
This is a great product if you want to keep your guns like new. The friction on a gun slide as it recoils can be very damaging to the gun without lubrication. However, oil tends to be too viscous and will run out of the slide over time and be a major pain. Slide Glide stays in the slide and keeps lubricating. Since it stays in the slide so well it doesn't have to be re-applied very often and this tub will last you forever even if you have several guns. It's the best product I've found for slides and is well worth the cost. Standard has always been good for my applications but it comes in light and heavy too if you have special circumstances. Something with firm, less flexible bristles is best for application in my opinion (I'm using a brush that comes with tubes of mustache wax, I found one and it just happened to work very well). I've found things like paintbrushes are usually too flimsy and flexible to make for easy application, but as always, YMMV.

Better than Gun Slick
I've been using this stuff for awhile, I have several automatics including rifles that operate much better with it. It doesn't cook off under heavy usage. I started with just a small tube and then I bought the tub. YOU DON'T NEED MUCH.

Far superior than store bought grease but has other uses, see details.
Nice stuff but I'll waste more with this tub and prefer the smaller tube for applying it. Probably like the LIGHT version better but this does make the slide very slick. I actually like it to coat the guide rod and outside of the barrel even more. Then I use gun butter for the internals and slide. Both methods work well for me but the thicker stuff like this on the slide rails seems harder to clean later than thin stuff. Still need to have some of this on hand. It's far better than stuff in the local stores.

One Lub to rule them all...
This is the best lubricant on the market! I'm actually still on my first tub of slide glide which has lasted me 4 years and decided to go ahead and buy one of each viscosity to make sure I never run out of lubricant. The best test is to rack your firearm several times before application. Feel and listen to the gun. Then apply slide glide and rack it several times . The sound and feel of your gun is completely different. Then go shoot it at least 100 rounds and notice that the lubricant will still be in place and the firearm will still be silky smooth. Any other lubricant will melt and run out within 100 rounds. Slide Glide is here to stay.

Pure snake oil.
I bought this and the "green" label, I thought this might be a quality product, however when I got it and got a sniff of it, Ive come to find that it is an literally an axle / wheel bearing grease that is repackaged as a gun lube. I went out to a friends farm and was looking over some of the same stuff he uses to lube different machines, not only did they smell the same, they also had the same feel between the fingers and seemingly the same viscosity. Its neat he is a champion shooter, but this is just snake oil in a plastic container.
