Victoria Vodka Sauce, 25 Ounce

I saw this sauce recommended on a You Tube taste test video. I’m happy with Carbone, but I wanted to try another brand to compare. Carbone is a little oily, but that’s not a negative, it’s very tasty and has a wonderful and delicious consistency. I would rate Victoria pasta sauce as equally tasty as Carbone but it doesn’t seem to be at all oily. It’s taste and texture is on par with Carbone, which at the moment is my favorite. So, I’m giving high praise to this product. My only complaint is that it doesn’t seem to be available in different flavors, as Carbone and other pasta sauces often are, but it’s an excellent alternative, and the taste testers on You Tube video rated Victoria as the closest to their favored homemade pasta sauce. I’m ok with pasta sauce from a jar, but they all aren’t equal. I would say Victoria is definitely at the top, over and above many other options. I find no fault with it, really, it is very good. Try it and see.

Each to their own, I suppose, but for my money this is the best pasta sauce you can get. Wonderful consistency and flavor.

After hearing about this sauce and reading the reviews, I looked in my local stores and it was no where to be found... Fortunately, Amazon had it and I ordered a few jars. I wasn't disappointed! The flavor, freshness, thickness and overall taste was perfect. While my favorite jarred sauce is still Rao's, Victoria's is just as good! They don't taste the same but the quality and deliciousness is evident in both! My only complaint is the packing. Each jar comes individually thinly shrink-wrapped but.... Amazon doesn't add any packing material in the shipping box. Fortunately, all my jars arrived undamaged but I can easily see how those complaints of opened and cracked jars are justified.

I will have to admit, i hate most jarred sauces cause there is something off about them for one reason or another. They either are way too sweet from added sugar or have some weird blend of herbs and spices that give a weird taste (dried basil is the worst thing you can add to anything, just dont it). This just has what it needs. Minimal ingredients make the best sauces. I see people adding mushrooms, bell peppers and the kitchen sink to their sauces and to me, thats just guilding the lily. This is good just as it is and ignore the store bought big names like Ragu and Prego and this tastes just as good if not better than Raos and its way cheaper than Raos also. Try it, you wont regret it.

The sauce is amazing, but each time I’ve ordered this, it’s been open and leaking all over the bubble wrap. Amazon really needs to find a better way to ship this product because it’s not working out.

One of best "jar" sauces you'll ever find!

The jars of sauce do not survive the shipping. This is not the first time this has happened. Last time five of six jars were open or broken. This time at least three of the six were opened, but it was only obvious that one was open as the mold had already started. When I went to use more sauce a month after they arrived, it was clear the top had been popped open on two other jars that u hadn’t recognized, and there was mold everywhere. Unfortunately, it was after the timeframe that I could return them.
