Great replacement
Our original security system had hidden sensors. When we got replacement windows, the manufacturer said the warranty would be void if we use hidden sensors in the new windows. So we got these as a replacement and they were quick and easy to install, and we didn't have to pay $80 / 15 minutes to have the security system's tech come to our house to install them.

So good i have ordered a total of sixty of these units both in package of ten and twenty
Very good normally open closed with presence of magnet within 1/2 inch of magnet. Does not need to be on same level as sensor as all my windows are designed to so that the sensor is a 1/4 inch above the top of the magnet and works great. I use three of these on my windows and sliding glass doors which are double hung. The reason for three two in parallel then in series with the third is so in the fall and early spring, (I live in Florida), I can partially open the lower window and still have my alarm active. Same for Patio sliding doors as i have inserted a dogie door panel 16 inches wide in to the track when we are not traveling. This enables me to have the alarm active with the leading door in two different positions. I always remove the panel when we travel so it is nice to not have to mess with moving the magnets. Be sure to wire them in parallel so if either one is activated by the magnet the alarm system will detect the door is in the proper position for security.

Excellent low profile contacts, works with ADT/Honeywell systems
As other reviewers wrote, we just had our old single pane metal windows replaced with vinyl dual pane. We had a similar quote of a $75 call out charge, then $20 per window, but they wanted to install wireless sensors, which would have meant a very expensive alarm panel replacement too. The installer told us that the alarm company likes to drill the windows or frames, and that would definitely void the warranty on our expensive Argon filled units. Not a good prospect. These little contacts are easy to install, and secure very well without using the screws provided. The self-adhesive backing is plenty strong enough. You will need a jeweler's crosspoint screwdriver (like those sold for tightening the hinges on glasses) to adjust the wire-holding screws. There is a neat little rectangle of plastic in each package which can be used to cover the screws after installation. The contacts need to be close, but they don't have to be exactly level in our system. The magnet on the window is a little lower than the contact on the frame, but it still works perfectly. We thought we might have to shim the magnet to bring it level, but that wasn't needed. We are very pleased with this product, and the price is amazing.

Good replacement magnets for wireless ADT window sensors
I ordered these to replace magnets on my wireless ADT system after getting new windows installed and noting that the old ADT magnets were too bulky for my new windows. I was easily able to cut off tabs with screw holes with scissors and use self-stick tape already in place to mount them. ADT refused to send me enough of their magnets, the new version of which are smaller than my originals and about the same size as these magnets. They wanted to send a technician (for $$, of course) to install their smaller magnets. So this was much cheaper, even though i wound up paying for the other half of contact (which is a WIRED CONTACT), even though i just needed the magnet portion. So far, so good.Oct 2020. Still working well and staying stuck in place where I put them 3 yrs ago.Jan 2023 Still great!

Good replacement alarm sensors
I started replacing windows on our new house, and found out that the widows were pre-wired for an alarm system. I needed magnetic contacts to complete the install, and these worked well. The wires are long enough to reach where I needed them, and the self adhesives stick well on the vinyl windows. After a year, I have had no issues with them, and would go back to these with any future window installs.

Great contacts, great price
Great contacts, I haven't had any problems with them. I can't imagine that I would have any issues with them in the future either, as there isn't much that can go wrong with these sensors.I chose these ones over other brands because of the price and quantitiy. I also wanted screw terminals rather than a pigtail wire, just because I prefer the terminals. The double sided tape seems fine but I have screwed the contacts onto all of the doors I'm using them on. I did not screw them onto any of the windows and they're still holding on fine.

Great Value, Easy to Connect, Better Looking than other Larger Contacts
Purchased these because I needed extra magnets for my alarm system. I ordered the wrong item, and they were too small, my bust. HOWEVER, when we replaced three sliding glass doors and two windows, I realized I could replace the old contacts with these new smaller ones. (So I can be a little slow sometimes) They worked great. Really liked the quick connect feature, and the smaller contacts do the job and look better. Price was great, and about a third the cost of buying the larger contacts locally. Will probably buy another pack and swap out more of the old ones. Need to look for just the magnets though, for doors and windows that need a second magnet when left ajar for ventilation.

Better than the other contacts that don't have screws
Helping a friend out, we had to replace about 10 different reed switches to re-attache it to the security system. At a cost of $250 service call plus $25/contact with the security company, a buddy and I decided to do it ourselves like the previous reviewer. We saved our buddy a few hundred dollars and were able to integrate these into zwave open/close sensors to use with smartthings. The contacts are super easy to connect and attach to the window frame. We followed the installers around as they finished each window, and we were never without a working security system. Highly recommend. Can't beat the price too!
