Travel Gear Pack It, Blue Sea 3 Pack, One Size

My work often requires me to be on the move. The Eagle Creek Pack-It Original Packing Cubes Set in XS/S/M has become an indispensable companion for maintaining order and efficiency during my travels. This set of packing cubes has revolutionized the way I organize my belongings. The three different sizes provide versatility, allowing me to neatly compartmentalize everything from clothing to electronics and toiletries. The extra-small, small, and medium cubes fit seamlessly into various luggage sizes, maximizing space and ensuring a tidy packing experience. Eagle Creek is known for their bags, pouches, etc for travelling, esp. when backpacking. Used to backpack in Europe and Asia with their suitcases and their pouches and are reliable to keep equipment, clothes, travel gear in their bigger bags. Zippers don't break, materials are sturdy. They last almost forever (had mine for over 20 years, both pouch and cases). There's a reason why REI stores sell them. Recommend highly.

I finally caved and bought these for a cruise, where cabin space is very limited and we would be unpacking for a week. These packing cubes are incredible. I love that they open flat all the way. I actually bought a second set of compression packing cubes from an off-brand, very cheap brand. They do not compare at all to this Eagle Creek set, which unzips all around and are just better made. Lightweight, handy, these kept me organized and made packing and unpacking a breeze. My only regret is that I didn't buy more of the Eagle Creek packing cubes; I could have used 3 more at least.

Summary: Strong initial impression of quality; small sizes overall - plan accordingly; wish EC offered more than four colors, for color-coding. Just received the 3-cube EC Pack-It set, which I ordered at the same time as a Travelwise 3-cube set. The Eagle Creek set is smaller overall, which works for me as I plan to use it for my 6yo's clothing for an upcoming multi-week, multi-stop trip. - The largest cube (~10 x 14") is *roughly* the size of a large-format magazine, and 3" deep. - The middle size (9" x 7") is about the size of a small cereal box, or slightly bigger than a guidebook (DK Eyewitness size, not Rick Steves). - And the smallest cube (8 x 4") is about the size of a Jambox speaker or three iPhones in a row. (Why is this size info not available on Amazon's product page?? Also, just noticed than one of the Amazon reviews says they received one large and two half-cubes. I actually would've preferred that set.) ETA: Went over to the Eagle Creek site and the items in this set are classifed as: cube, half-cube, quarter cube. The interior seams are nicely finished and zippers work smoothly (there are double/two-way zippers for each bag, so you can open or close at any point along the opening). I hope to report back on the durability and stain resistance of the fabric/mesh after we get back from our trip, but for now it seems sturdy enough. The mesh is the same color as the fabric (vs. the Travelwise set which has black mesh). I'm pleased that the cubes did not have a strong plastic smell when I took them out of the package. For a starter set I like the quality of the items, but wish the cube sizes were larger across the board or that there were two of the largest size and one small cube (rather than XS/S/M). Note that I am planning to use this to pack a (shared) family suitcase; I might find the current combination just perfect if I was trying to do one-bag travel for myself. (The largest EC cube is about the size of the Travelwise medium cube.) Going forward I may add another cube (largest size in this set) or the double cube, which is available separately. And just for the wish list, it would be great if Eagle Creek had more colors available for the Pack-It system beyond black, blue, green, red. (I ordered the Travelwise set because EC doesn't offer purple.) With multiple family members sharing a bag, it's nice to be able to color-code to other travel things we already own. Will try to update once we get back.

I used the larger cube to pack 1 pair of jeans, 3 different casual shirts, a sweater, and some pajamas. I used the medium sized cube to pack socks, under garmets, and workout wear. The smallest cube didn't originally have a need to fill so I used it as a technology pouch, keeping all my cords easy to access. They are easy to use b/c you can load the cubes while flat but then they transport in a duffel or suitcase without wasted space. As easy as they are to load, they work even better upon arrival b/c they keep my clothes accessible and organized. It's like having a dresser inside of my suitcase. No more digging everything out to find that one item! I could have easily packed more into each cube. Now that I've proven to myself that this was a worthwhile purchase with a single trip, I'm going to get another set or two for my family members.

I've used a LOT of packing cubes, and so far these are the best. Because the zipper goes all the way around (well 3 sides and a little of the forth), you really get to use it to the best of it's ability. The other NECESSARY thing is the mesh on the top. Knowing what is in there, and depending how you fold, is so key for me. I fold so that everything is vertical, not stacked. I use all the sizes all the time. I even use them for my sports gear, having one of these for my tops, bottoms or bras when on a tournament weekend is almost revolutionary to me! This are great. I'm getting a kickstarter version coming soon that I think will put these against the wall, but that is the hope, not expectation. These cubes are literally the benchmark.

El material de estas bolsas es de muy buena calidad. No es ni demasiado grueso no demasiado delgado. Suficiente para mantener su forma dentro de la maleta y mantener todo en orden. La ventana que tienen sobre la parte superior es especialmente útil para identificar lo que tienen dentro. Desde mi primera compra he vuelto a comprar otro set. En ocasiones se encuentra con buen descuento.

Sehr formstabiles, aber trotzdem sehr leichtes Material. Möchten wir auf unseren langen, selbst organisierten Reisen nicht mehr missen.
