Lasko Stanley Max Performance High Velocity Floor Fan 1-Pack 655650

I bought this fan for my fitness studio to circulate the air in an approximately 1100 square foot area. The space is rectangular, with a single window air conditioner towards one corner. Before I got his fan, only one side of the studio ever got cool enough, and our dinky little household fan wasn't nearly powerful enough to be of much help getting the air moving. I put the Lasko Stanley 20-Inch High Velocity Fan on the floor under and slightly behind the air conditioner to circulate the cold air throughout the entire space and it works perfectly, on high speed the entire studio gets cooled even on sweltering 95 degree summer days. On somewhat cooler days, just the fan is enough since moving air feels cooler, so we save money on electric not having to run the AC. The remote control and wall mount options are also a nice touch. In terms of noise, it seems pretty quiet to me in relation to its power, a fan this strong is bound to make some noise but it's nothing ridiculous. Then again, we're in a gym, so if you're in a quiet office or library it might seem louder. You can't feel the fan too much from the far side of the room since our studio is about 50 feet long, but you definitely do feel a much more even coolness in air temperature throughout the space. If you stand in front of the fan on high, you feel like a dog with its head out a car window speeding down a highway. Awesome!

This item was delivered to me on May 31. Since the order was placed on May 22, the turnaround time between order and receipt was not what i have come to expect from Amazon Prime shipping. Perhaps Amazon's expeditious shipping policies have been changed, and if so that may serve to do more local shopping than has been my practice. That said, I am very pleased with the product itself. The fan was very simple to assemble and was up and going in no time at all. The purpose for my purchase was to give me a front porch fan which would move a lot of air on hot Oklahoma days --- where I am much of the time as I smoke and watch Netflix and Amazon prime. This fan serves my needs very well. It is very sturdy, heavier than expected, and produces a path of air movement that is wider than I expected. Because of its power, it can be positioned at a greater distance and cover more people than me, which is a very good feature. The 3 speeds are appropriately graduated. The remote control is an unexpected bonus. In short, I give the product a very high rating, but Amazon's order-to-delivery time not so much. If I want to have a product quickly, that will factor in in my future orders.

This thing moves some serious air. I have it in the garage for when I'm working on a project, or working out, and it's great. Our garage is poorly insulated, so it's frequently 5-10 degrees hotter than outside (which sucks when it's already 90 degrees outside). With this on, I can comfortably stay in there and work for extended periods of time. The remote works across the entire garage, which is great, because ours is huge. The wall hook seems sturdy, and I've used the fan while it's still hanging up and had no issues. Some people may complain about the noise, but it personally doesn't bother me. In no way is this a quiet fan, but since I use it in the garage, I typically have music blasting anyways. The noise isn't some high pitched squeal or something annoying - it just sounds like a loud fan.

Fan is pretty much in one piece when you take it out of the box. You need to attach the stand which is easy enough with 1 push button on each side The fan can sit on the floor or hang on the wall with supplied bracket. Fan base just slipped over the bracket so it is easy to remove during the winter . Control box attaches to metal base with one long screw that is attached to control box. Just unscrew stick into hole on base and reattach. No tools needed. This fan puts out nice air flow . I purchased two of them to help cool my barn stalls during the summer.The stall is 12x12 and the air flow reaches clear across to the opposite wall . I am sure it it would be adequate moving air around in a bigger area. The fan itself is kinda loud. I personally can not see using it in a residential environment. My horses are very comfortable while they eat. The remote control is handy dandy and is the main reason I purchased this item . Since I knew the fans had to be hung high. I would not be able to reach the controls the remote would come in handy and it does. Batteries DO NOT come with the remote (takes 2 triple AAA ). Remote does NOT come with holder to hang on the wall. Keeping track of it may become a real chore . The bracket is made of metal and is pretty heavy duty . Requires 2 screws to fasten to wall . Screws DO NOT come with the bracket. As far as durability I have only had them a week so we will see how they last.

The fan was easy to assemble to the stand and my impression is that it is pretty sturdy. Attaching the power control to the stand was a little tricky just because it was at an awkward angle. On the lowest setting, it is powerful and creates a strong breeze throughout the (10X12) room. The remote control is very simple to use and requires 2 AAA batteries. When turned on low, the fan does create some white noise but not enough to bother us. People vary greatly in what they feel is too loud or very quiet, so the best thing, even though it's a pain in the ass, is to try it out. If you have Amazon Prime, it's not as big a hassle to return it as having to return it, another way. I got this used, through Amazon Warehouse, and it is in Like New condition. However, the QuickMount wall bracket, the main reason for choosing this fan, was NOT in the box. Since this is not the fault of the manufacturer, it did not negatively affect my review. I recommend this fan.
