Efficient, reliable and lots of programming options.
Well worth the price. I installed it about 6 months ago. Works like a charm. Also, love the ease of programming and it saves on the electricity bill. It’s quiet and efficient. My pool is about 19k-20k gallons, outdoors, in hot and humid Florida . 4 hours at 2800 RPM’s, and another 4 in the mid day at 3200 rpm is perfect.

Great pump...so far
This pump is easy to install for a DIYer. It took me about an hour. If this pump is programmed properly, it will more than pay for itself in electricity savings, in 5-7 years. Variable speed pumps cost more initially, but in time are worth the extra money compared to a single speed pump. So, if you can afford it, choose variable speed.

Grossly defective product. Totally unusable.
Pump arrived promptly and I installed it according to directions. However, when I filled the pump strainer compartment water poured out around the casing. The casing is warped and will not seal (see video and photos.) The pump is useless. Will be working with Amazon, the vendor, and the manufacturer to resolve the issue. Very disappointing for a top rated product to have what is an obvious defect.

Very quiet
My husband and brother installed the pump. It wasn’t too difficult though they needed to adjust some of the fittings. The pump is very quiet and has been working great though the learning curve on the controls is tricky. Need to watch some YouTube tutorials on it. Great price.

During the hot hot July days as our pump failed the new pump arrived quickly in a few days. POOL IS UP AND RUNNING, QUITE AND LOVE THE VARIABLE SPEED

Great Pump, Way better than our old Jandy.
Very nice pump with a lot of great features. Easy enough to install with a little wiring knowledge.

Not necessarily a simple "drop in"
After 25 years going through several Hayward super pumps 1.5 hp - I bought the newer variable speed as a replacement this spring. It comes with 2" ports (with 1 1/2 " adapters) meaning it was not a simple "drop in" as claimed - and therefore I needed to create new piping. The required adapters - 2" to 1-1/2"- changed everything (as all the old piping would not match up exactly and I use unions which means everything ordinarily unscrews easily for quick replacement). Also this pump has timers built in - which admittedly is a plus - however somewhat difficult to learn the programming and finally - vacuuming is a big disappointment - NOT powerful enough even at top speed of 3450 rpms - takes longer than usual to vacuum my pool. I miss the vacuuming power of my old 1.5hp Superpump.
