Appears to be equivalent to prescription US brands
I tried this product with some trepidation about buying from overseas but after carefully experimenting for about four months now I have been very pleased and reassured that this is the real thing and successfully replaces the very expensive prescription product I had been using. I have EPI (exocrine pancreatic insufficiency). I have noticed from reviews and online forums that many people using this kind of product do not have good information as to how and for what it should be used. I encourage people who need this type of product, replacement enzymes for pancreatic insufficiency, to get professional guidance on its use. Multiple doctors I have spoken with do not know how to prescribe it and none of the product information I've looked at provides this information; it simply tells you to use it as prescribed. The best information I got was from a registered dietician who specializes in GI issues. Even with that, there are individual differences and I continue to experiment to find the best regimen. Forgive me if TMI, but the successful use of these enzymes lies in the quality of one's stool and I believe this should be the criterion on which people decide if it is working as intended. Remission of other kinds of symptoms is also a consideration but stool quality is the indicator of successful digestion.

Don't rely on this product being available
This works great, and I've used it to supplement my dog's Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI) while avoiding the higher cost of something like Creon. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to switch to a Creon prescription. This is the third or fourth time (within a few months) the product has been unavailable when I need to order. You can get the 10,000 USP, but I have to use significantly more, order more frequently, and I'm not sure how much I am actually saving.

Works like the prescription
Works like it should! I pour my capsules into plain applesauce and eat it without crunching so I don’t need to swallow a bunch of pills with each meal.

Best option for my cat
I haven't seen any reviews here mentioning pet use so i wanted to say that this is the best product that i could find for my cat. She has a condition where her body basically doesn't produce the enzymes she needs. This supplement helps with that. Others that i tried did not work because she wouldn't eat the food as soon as she smelled the powder. Because these are micropellets, there's nothing to smell. We've been using this for the last year and it's helped her regain her full weight. Updating 02/2026 While this product continues to be great for my cat, I agree with the other reviewer who mentions that it's very unreliably in stock. I've used both this one and the 10,000usp version. But now both are out of stock. After a lot of research, I just ordered a product called Zympal, if anyone is looking for a similar alternative. Fingers crossed.

I thought they would work but no....
I bought these because on the Amazon advertisement it said that there was no yeast. I have very sensitive to digestive enzymes that use yeast and mold to make their products. At first the pills seemed to work then within a week I started getting IBS like symptoms. My stomach started to cramp. I have been taking digestive enzymes for 10+ years because I have no gallbladder and also because I have always had digestive issues. When a digestive enzymes starts to mess me up I know there is yeast in it. I have used Source Natural digestive enzymes for years with no problems and I am still using them. I just wanted something more focused on protein digestion to make sure I don't get bloated. Also as you get older your digestion gets worse. I threw them straight in the trash this morning. Wasted $40.

Best non-prescription enzymes I've tried - matches expensive prescription enzymes
I've been taking these for about 6-7 weeks. In my opinion it's not realistic to take enzymes for a short period (although 6-7 weeks is not long) and make a good assessment. I use these because I have EPI (pancreatic insufficiency) and use pancreatic enzymes for proper digestion as prescribed by my doctor. I only share this as I can only speak from this viewpoint in regard to the Micrazym Pancreatic Enzymes. I've been using a popular prescription enzyme for a long period of time and as anyone who has used them, they know it's very expensive but it does work. However the expense makes it cost prohibitive for many. I have also tried several alternatives from Amazon, one of which seems to help a little but does not work sufficiently to replace the prescription. This does! For the last 6-7 weeks I replaced my prescription with these using comparable capsules each meal to approximately match the enzyme count with the prescription. I have slowly gained weight as I needed to. I have no side effects or real changes associated with my digestive track using these vs the prescription enzymes. Recently I switched dosage of the prescription enzymes as I had lost weight. The key to the difference between these and other enzymes is the Enteric Coating. This allows the enzymes to pass through the stomach into the gut. They really work! Additionally I don't notice a taste, I just swallow them with water. I have been so pleased with these and excited to writing this review but waited until I was sure. My sincere thanks to Micrazym for an inexpensive and comparable alternative to expensive prescription enzymes.

Amazon packaging stunk
The product is 5 stars. Amazon gets 3 for their effort to save money and send it in an envelope vs. a box. Product was obviously crushed repeatedly.

I use It in place of Creon 25000. This one has more enzymes to absorb carbohydrates and proteins. But the side effect is having dry mouth at night. So I only take it during breakfast.
