I didn’t know a 10 year old i5 processor could be replaced by a 10 year old i7. I learned you have to match the motherboard chipset and the processor version. My version processor is 4. Intel processors are up to version 14. Only thing that changed was the processor. After changing the processor it was recognized by Windows 10 and configured and integrated. Went from 4 cores to 8. Much faster. Most cost effective upgrade I’ve ever done.

This is supposedly a used processor. It runs great all four cores stay cool I used a zalman cooler. averages around 28 or 29 degrees per core... this was for a home build mostly still wanting to use DDR3 RAM that I had. This Devil's Canyon CPU does not disappoint

A fast processor.
I have used this processor for many years. I highly recommend it. Uses ddr3 memory though. Not a bad thing.

Genuine product!
After hearing so many horror stories of people getting fakes, I was hesitant ordering from this seller for something expensive. Received it faster than I originally thought I would get it. It was brand spanking new, legit genuine intel processor. Props to these guys!!!

Easy to install
This was an amazing upgrade for me as I upgraded from an i5. It was super easy to install and the fan that comes with it already has thermal paste included. I would highly suggest this if you’re due for a CPU upgrade.

Für das sidegrade meiner 10 Jahre alten CPU intel i5-4690 hatte ich eine passende CPU für Sockel 1150 gesucht. Der gebrauchte i7-4790k hat mir eine Leistungssteigerung von 24% gebracht - gemessen mit geekbench6. Man muss allerdings die Einstellungen für den Turboboost-Modus im BIOS von Auto auf Manuell anpassen, sonst schaltet die CPU bei Vollast wegen längerer Überschreitung der Grenztemperatur den PC sofort ab. Hier meine Werte: Turbo Boost Short Power Max: 110W Turbo Boost Power Max: 88W ( TDP der CPU ) Turbo Boost Power Time Window: 5sec ProzessorCurrent Limit: 105A Nachzulesen im Internet mit Google-Suche, Stichwort: intel 4790k Stromlimit. Alternative: Turboboostmodus deaktivieren. Für mich hat sich diese Aufrüstaktion meines 10 Jahre alten PC's mit einer gebrauchten CPU gelohnt. Deswegen 5 Sterne.
