Great value for the money, they're want a smell except for 1 oyster that was really bad it made my eyes water, but none of the others really had a smell at all. They have beautiful coloring, shiny and a bit of a sparkle., shape is great and fun for kids.

Such a fun sensory activity for the whole family! Honestly, kind of expected to open these things and find gross, rotten, dye filled oysters with plastic beads... 🌟Really, REALLY SATISFIED with this product! Got these for gifts for friends and family around the holidays, and they were a hit! Each one contained a large, beautifully colored pearl. The colors 🌈 are deep and vibrant, each one unique. The shells were not filled with dye, as we had seen in some other similar products. There was little to no smell👃 in the batch we received. Definitely not off putting at all, but I'd suggest rinsing them prior to opening. Even after sitting in a car for several days, these things didn't stink. By no means are cultured pearls expensive, but these packs provide an astounding🤑 value for the price. Whether you want party favors for kids or seniors, jewelry making material, or just a fun afternoon, these are great.

I love buying pearl filled oysters, but better yet, I love giving them as gifts! I buy this set multiple times a year and put a sealed oyster, a silver necklace chain, and a pearl cage in a gift bag and give them out as birthday gifts, Christmas presents, and get well gifts. Really any occasion. It's just a hands on, fun, unique, AND INEXPENSIVE, way to give a gift. The oysters come in various sizes that are in individually vacuum sealed packages. Once you cut open the package, forewarning, the smell is not very pleasant, but it's not a deal breaker. I use scissors and cut around the outside to open them, but really you can snap them in half. Be careful of the edges because they can be sharp, especially if you are prying it open with your nails and the shell goes under your nail. Ouch! While I think oysters look absolutely disgusting on the inside, they are completely upstaged by the beautiful pearl that awaits you underneath. I've had almost every color of the rainbow, but that is the fun part, not knowing what color you're going to get. Make sure you don't touch your eyes when handling the oyster and, obviously, you're gonna want to wash your hands or any equipment you used to open the oyster. These are totally worth the price and I would most certainly be purchasing these again!

I got these for my daughter's birthday party and everyone loved it. Since each oyster was vacuumed sealed I didn't know If I should refrigerate when I received it. Since it came not refrigerated I left the package as is. I read about how much the oysters smelled. Once I opened the vacuum seal bag I put each oyster in a bucket of water right away. I then poured the water out outside and filled it with fresh water. Right before the party I again dumped the water out and refilled with fresh. By the time my husband was opening the oysters there was barely a scent. These are obviously not real pearls nor did I except them to be but the reaction of finding the 'pearl' was amazing and thr differentcl colors were great. My husband was able to crack most of the oysters by hand. The ones that were too hard he used our crab cracker. You could probably use a hammer. The reason why I gave it 4 stars is because of direction and everything I had to get ready to go. I got a bucket from Dollar tree and rubber gloves for me and my husband. We never touched the oysters with bare hands. After my husband got the 'pearl' out it automatically went into a small cup of water to rinse it. The pearls were beautiful colors and all of the oysters had one in it. I got necklaces for the pearls and they turned out beautiful.

Absolutely was 100% satisfied with my purchase. There was a pearl on each oyster and each color was absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait to turn these beautiful real pearls into jewelry. The smell was barely there I couldn’t even smell anything. Yes the shelves were difficult to pull apart but you literally can just use any knife , I used a steak knife 😂. Definitely recommend using gloves because it does get messy and you don’t want it on your hands because of all the stuff. What I did was got a bowl of water and just put the empty shelves in there and then I had a little Dixie cup folded a little bit of water and just put the pearls in there as I pulled them out.

Bought these for an activity and the girls loved them! Cracking them open was the best part of the whole event if you ask them. There were a few that didn’t have any pearls in them but some had two and I have gotten extra so it worked out each girl got a pearl. Loved the colors of all the pearls. They come individually wrapped which I loved. Didn’t smell. They open pretty easily. I didn’t have to help anyone. Such a fun addition to the activity.

Only received 28 oysters, not 30 as it says!!! Very poor colors as the are chipped off like paint
