Taken 30ft/9m Arlo Ultra Cable, Weatherproof Outdoor/Indoor Magnetic Charging Cable and Power Adapter for Arlo Ultra 4K, Ultra 2, Arlo Pro 3, Pro 4

I have had this cable connected outside since March 2020 and so far all is working well. So far they have been providing my Arlo Pro 3 cameras continuous power, allowing for the camera to provide the preview footage feature. The cables are covered by the hang over part of the roof so they are not in direct sunlight or rain but are outside. There was an issue getting them to register continuous power but that was during set up of the new cameras, I required a lot of unplugging/plugging. Sadly they need the accompanying power plug to help them provide power to the cameras, they cannot power from direct usb only. The mag connector works well. The cable part does seem a bit thin for outdoor use but they are working outside. The power plug is a bit big, a smaller one would help with two being able to be connected to the same exterior outlet. Overall the product is doing what it is meant to do.

I bought this 30ft cable, like most, for the price and that it is 30ft and black. However, with my Arlo Pro 4 Spotlight it did poorly. It reduced signal strength when attached and the Green Battery Charging Indicator on the Arlo App , Device Screen kept going on and off. My camera also started to give motion alerts, especially at night, when there was no motion. Spotlight was going on with the alerts every 5 to 20 minutes. The problem, I believe, is the small diameter of cable. At 30 ft it had an impedance loss causing the poor connection. I can't speak to the connection quality. The magnet in the power connector seemed strong and connector snapped right on. But, someone mentioned no weather ring around it. I also did not like the usb connector on the one end having to plug into the AC plug that goes into outlet. That didn't seem weather resistant at all. I bought the 25ft Arlo OEM cable and it is much thicker. More money but worth it. All is working fine now.

Well, After my review the company contacted me and sent a new cable so good for them, Ill see how long this one works, but kudos to them for their efforts for sure! See original review below. I'll change my rating to a 5 star After six months it started actually draining the camera battery down, in 2 days the camera battery was dead, recharged the battery manually and it would be discharged in 2 days. Disconnected the charging cable and battery last so far 2 weeks. I changed the USB plug but still tge same results.

So far so good for an alternative to “official” Arlo cords. For 50% of the cost I figured they were worth a shot. They wouldn’t take the camera batteries to 100% charge. They’d get to 92% and stop. I just used the Arlo cord that came with the cameras to get them to 100%, then plugged these cords back in. They’ve been holding at 100% ever since. The cameras also recognize the plugged in juice and offer the pre-recording feature before every event. No word on longevity as they’ve only been up for one week.

I used this to wire power to one of my Arlo Ultra cameras outside. It allows me to not have to charge the camera as much, and enables the SW zones. This should already be working, but there is a bug at the moment were you still need AC power to the camera. Very happy with the price point and the overall length of the cable. Also mine came w/ mounting clips for the wire which was a nice added bonus.

I use these for charging the cameras in place. These reach my cams, and stay in place, without issues. I also had one in place for constant power, For one of my Pro 3 cameras, and there were no problems with that role. Good value and utility.

In 2022 & 2023 I purchased several thousand dollars on ARLO 3 equipment plus the monthly Arlo website access fee to view my recordings. After months frustrating problems with camera issues and no human suport from Arlo. In June of 2023 I finally got it working well. In July 2023 I logged into my Arlo account and was unable to view my recording. The website msg. said Arlo 3 cmaers can no longer be used or surported by Arlo due to their new "End of Life Policy". My only option was to trash my whole system and upgrade to a new expensive Arlo system. Before you buy Arlo equipment go to their website and read their "End Of Life Policy" or AKA: Planned Obsolescence chart on much of their equipment. Arlo continued to charge me a monthl subscription fee until I piad their $99.00 cancellation fee. I view this as a SCAM. )
