Esordio discografico per Chris Stapleton, cantante-chitarrista dal curriculum già ricco, visto che come autore ha visto diversi brani propri scalare le classifiche, interpretati da personaggi del calibro di Kenny Chesney, Darius Rucker, Adele, Tim McGraw e tanti altri. Stapleton ha una bella voce roca, con sentori soul e blues; in studio si fa guidare da Dave Cobb, produttore che è ormai una garanzia. ll genere è lontano dal country patinato di Nashville: un Americana di grana ora grossa, ora più raffinata, che esalta l'interpretazione vocale e le doti autoriali del nostro. Un disco che consiglio vivamente non solo agli appassionati di rock americano.
