We have a shot blasting cabinet and it relied on the pressure of the air flow to drag the sand up through the tube to the nozzle. It was very unreliable. Sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't. Very sporadic With this upgrade the sand is gravity fed and falls on to the air. Connect your air and fill the hopper, pull the trigger and shot blast away, So easy.

Waste of money, these type of guns just don't work. I Tried different types of media in it, no joy.

This device works well enough, the hopper needs to be filled with good quality blasting media to prevent clogging. It 'blasts' sand ok, but I was disappointed with the results. It was only able to remove a surface discolouration due to relatively fresh rust and was not able to cut through the paint on painted surfaces. I finally found a 'needler' much more effective at both. I was under the impression that it would make light work of significant surface rust and paint taking down to bare metal with a few minutes attention. NOT so. it is only really effective at cleaning an already prepared surface.

Happy with it. Easy to assemble quick to get it up and running. 1/4 sand box outlet to limit the media flow. Worked well and happy with it for the money. Was way better than one I already had that sucks the sand up - this one allows gravity flow and much better media flow when in use.

Nice, only issue I had was that it didn't have the one adaptor I needed.

I wasn't expecting this to be a quality tool but I was still disappointed to get a badly moulded, plastic bodied blaster with misaligned grub screw holes, and feed mechanism almost blocked with plastic flashing from moulding process. Despite running it at max pressure from my 3hp 100 litre compressor, grit flow rate was intermittent. The design is flawed too since the tool has to be held horizontal or nose down to get the grit to flow. No good if grit blasting rust spots on the underneath of a vehicle because the feed hole is at the front of the gun. I modified my one by drilling out the feed holes but still bad. Save your money and buy a decent quality bottom-feed type that works at any angle.
