This is the first superfood green drink I could drink and keep down. The taste does take some getting used to in the beginning, but it's far better than any other I've tried (and I've tried many). After a week of drinking a glass every morning and afternoon, I noticed significant changes. Afternoon brain fog disappeared, I had more overall energy, and in general felt better. After a year of religiously drinking this, I've noticed my immunity and resistance to illness/physical strain is much better. I swear by this stuff!! I'm also a massage therapist specializing in Lypossage for cellulite and recommend this to every client. 30+ people have started this drink, and continued long after their Lypossage series ended. Overall, there's been a noticeable difference in the efficacy and speed of each Lypossage series' with the introduction of this drink. I noticed clients who drank this regularly would lose weight faster, have less edema, less skin issues, and better overall digestion, as well as many other positive health developments. I've treated enough people over the years to be able to tell the difference, and there is a definite pattern. Green drink = better overall health/weight. The price is also very reasonable compared to similar products, with great ingredients including probiotics. **Note: Pay attention while ordering - the company has many variations of superfood powders and not all do the same thing. The lemon-lime energy blend is my personal favorite and the favorite of most my clients. Honestly, I hated the taste of the others, especially the original blend which tastes like grass-flavored dirt. And if you're drinking something twice per day or more, taste tolerability is important! If you get jittery from the energy blend or want to try the other kinds, I recommend getting the variety sample pack. It has all their blends in individual singe-serve packages. Great way to try all of them out and find the right one for you.

I have tried all of the Amazing Grass Green Superfood flavors. When mixed with water, I rate my taste preference in this order: 1. Lemon Lime Energy 2. Orange Dreamsicle 3. Pineapple Lemongrass 4. ORAC 5. Original 6. Chocolate 7. Berry There are two new flavors: Energy Watermelon and Tangerine Immunity that I really want to try, but I'm waiting for them to become available in the 100 serving container on Amazon. I purchase all of the flavors I use in the 100 serving size because is the most cost effective. I then keep the large container in my chest freezer. I scoop about 20 servings out of it into a 1 pint glass jar that I keep in the freezer in my kitchen. It's easy to pull out of the freezer then and take 1 serving out while keeping the product fresh. Here is how I use the Lemon Lime Energy flavor: It is a perfect pre-workout drink in the mornings for me. Upon waking, I mix one scoop with 6-8 fl oz (approx 200 mL) of cold water. I leave the spoon in my cup and stir it before I take each sip to make sure it's all mixed, as it tends to settle if you let it sit. I find the lemon lime flavor very palatable with just plain water. It makes me feel hydrated, satisfies my initial morning hunger, and gives me a non-jittery, sustained alertness that makes me feel amazing! I like that I'm not starving just before my morning workout, but not full of food either and I have the desire and energy to do my best. Especially on those mornings where I just wanted to stay in bed and sleep in. I will also sometimes mix it up in the afternoon if I'm feeling dull at work, though I try to stay away from caffeine after 11 AM or so. Usually in the afternoon I prefer to drink a different flavor of Amazing Grass like the Orange Dreamsicle mixed with water or Pineapple Lemongrass mixed with water. I really wish they would come out with a Lemon Lime non-energy version that does not contain caffeine since I just love the flavor. I'd use that flavor exclusively in the afternoon/evening time.

So far I’ve been using this for two weeks and I gotta say, it does work for me. I work overnights and along with a diet and excercise, this has done more for me than the typical energy drink. What I mean is this lasts longer with less caffeine in comparison. Again, I am on a healthier diet and excercising five days a week starting in 2019 so I’m sure this aids in how much better I’m feeling. But still, in the evenings when I’m awake, before work, I do feel tired after excercising. Just before I leave for work I chug down a scoop of this with plain water and within minutes I can feel myself “waking up” from sleepiness. How does it taste? For me it’s like an unsweetened lime with water and a hint of unflavored husk fiber. That’s what I compare it to but it’s not bad nor really good. I don’t get an after taste and aside from being a bit gritty, it goes down pretty easy and I don’t need to mix it with anything else or add sweeteners etc. I haven’t gotten any after taste beyond the last gulp, and it’s not something that sticks around either. Some have mentioned that this runs right through them and I can agree that it does. I paired this with the Detox Digestion where I took that in the early mornings after work and energy one before so the combo might have aided in that as well. Now, it didn’t happen right away though. It would take 8-10 hours before that kicked in, and when it did, I was going 3-5 times in an hour but was good after that. This happened for about 10 days and pretty much stopped after that. My friend and my wife said this didn’t happen to them but they only tried one serving once. Dizziness and light headed. Yeah, I do get this everyday and it happens a few times a day but each instant lasts for under a minute and goes away. For me it’s just a slight nausea and nothing more beyond that. Maybe it’s the product and maybe some of it has to do with me quitting Energy Drinks altogether. This has much less caffeine than the 300mg I was consuming before. My friend and my wife didn’t feel this. All in all, I would recommend you try it but drink lots of water to replace what may go through you. A friend at work liked it but my wife didn’t as far as taste. He said it taste and smells like bread and she just didn’t like it. In the end, they both said they felt better as the hours went by, didn’t feel jittery, just felt “normal” is what they told me.

I bought the original flavor of this product and liked it enough for its great health benefits and energy (if you are looking to do a little cleansing after a junk food weekend, this product works for that as well). First, buy the sample packs if you are unsure which flavors you will like. It has been fun taste testing all of them! I am writing this review for some of the other flavors. I was having a hard time drinking the original alone and wanted something that masked that earthy taste (fruit/yogurt based smoothies cover it, but green tea/lime based smoothies don't). The watermelon one definitely covers that taste, but remember, DONT expect it to taste like a watermelon jolly rancher lol. I can definitely drink this one alone with water, but keep your expectations real..... this is a GREEN superfood and wont ever taste like candy.... just a more palatable version of the original. The watermelon has a slight bubblegum taste to it..... but still better than the original if you want to drink it alone. Orange Creamsicle - Tastes more creamy than orange, but again, covers the earthy taste. I started disliking the after taste halfway through. Pineapple - Pretty good so far! Smells and tastes like pineapple juice (as much as something can without actually being pineapple juice). I would recommend for those looking for a very fruity flavor. Have not tried goji berry, chocolate or the wheatgrass one.... but I will see how those go. I highly suggest buying the sample packs here on amazon and figuring out what's right for you.... great decision for those with finicky palates.

I bought this so that it could help me provide the ENERGY I needed, since I am back on track with working out (daily), and eating better! Coming from a PRE-DIABETIC, and used to LOVE AND EAT ALL SORTS OF JUNK FOODS, the taste is NOT bad, at all! I AM A VERY VERY PICKY EATER !! LOL, so naturally, I thought to myself, that I would HATE the flavor...My co-worker/friend took the first sip of her cup, and she made the MOST DISGUSTING face, EVER !!! (I have known her over 15+ years now), and after seeing her face like THAT, I was SOOOOOO SCARED to even try it !!! I literally thought I was going to puke...she kept insisting for me to try it. Before I tried it, I asked her "FROM 1 TO 10, with 10 being the GROSSEST, what do you think???" My friend did NOT ANSWER me, and yelled out "JUST TRY IT!!!!"...so I did ! I actually LIKED THE FLAVOR, but she HATED IT....so that being said, you really have to try it out for yourself, to be honest...but I can honestly say, after I drank a small cup (of course, with 1 scoop), we both had ENERY/ALERTNESS !!! I would say that it kicked in after about 15 to 20 mins...that's it! Initially I thought I wasn't going to like the flavor at all, so I decided to DOWN THE ENTIRE cup, and after all, realized that I did NOT have to plug my nose, at all...we drank the cup (mid-morning), around 11:30 am, and I can truly say, this stuff WORKS !!! I am sensitive when it comes to pre-workout/energy supplements, and it did NOT give me the jitters, at all !!! I am a 5'2" female, weighing in at about 148-lbs, not fat, but definitely not skinny either, so if this can work for me, it can definitely work for others!!!! I will keep on using this daily and see if it helps me progress with my weight loss journey!!!!

Bitter taste but it gives you a great boost of energy. I would highly recommend it if you’re looking for a relatively low-cost / high-quality green tea energy booster.

I read a lot of reviews on this superfood energy greens powder and thought people were just being unrealistic on their expectations of a green powder drink. I've been drinking green superfood powder drinks since I was a very young child, so I've tried at least a hundred (I'm 54 now). I expect the grass taste because that's what it is, not a milkshake! That doesn't mean I like it though. I usually add a water flavoring to my green drink to help it go down easier. Now we come to this Amazing Grass Greens Superfood Energy powder; all three of my family members drink a green superfood powder drink every morning to get the nutritional benefit and the extra energy it provides. All three of us gagged this morning while trying to drink this one down. This is the worst tasting green superfood powder I've ever had in my entire life! I am NOT exaggerating! After drinking half of mine, I added a squirt of water flavoring to see if that would help...it did not. The taste is hard to describe - a weird sweet, but nasty chemical taste. I tried to return it but it's considered a food product and therefore is non-returnable due to health reasons. I did cancel my Subscribe & Save order for the future. If after reading this you are not convinced to stay far away from this and want to try it for yourself, I highly recommend buying it from Vitacost as they will let you return it. I thought it was a great price so a good deal, but that idea was too good to be true. To be crystal clear - I do NOT recommend this powder.
