Does just what I wanted it to do.
We often find meals getting cold before we can finish eating them. Rather than going into the kitchen again to reheat them in the microwave, I decided it would be great if we found a thin food warmer to put our plates on while we eat. We couldn't find a thin enough one, so I opted for this inexpensive hotplate. It is too thick to put our plates on while we ate, but we have it on the table next to us, so we can place a plate on it to rewarm. This is especially good for pizza, but it works with other meals, too. We found a setting that warms the plate (without breaking it).

overall is not too bad.
I use the gas when I cook, but I want to teach my son to cook, and he is 9, so try to get a electric burner is more safe for him, is work ok, is heat fast but not too strong, so far is not too bad.

Purchased and returned. I have to stop buy these cheap hot plates. Pro: Heats up fast to boil water Cheap Very portable Con: Temperature Control is terrible. High or off (Boil water or Not) Cook time. After 15 mins the whole thing gets hot, so it stops working and you have to wait for it to cool Small Hot Spot. The heating coil is about 2 inches smaller radius than the plate (1 inch circumference smaller) would not use anything larger than 6 inch pot / pan

Will not maintain a hot temperature at all.
This thing doesn’t get hot enough to even boil a pot of water. It reaches a certain temperature it has predetermined to be “too hot” and then shuts off. At the highest level (6), it’ll be on for about 30 seconds, then off for about 2-3 minutes. I brought it to work to make my lunch and I couldn’t even fully cook those uncooked tortillas with it. Think about that. This thing won’t even cook the thinnest piece of flat bread possible, even though I had an extremely thin frying pan to cook them on. Crap. I’m sending it back ASAP.
