Smooth pull. - Great to have the OEM option still available. Quick delivery. Easy install in theory. Note that the posts are installed into the engine block. In my case I did have to remove the whole cowl cover. Suggest dripping some fastener solvent like liquid wrench or wd40. Then the top nuts will likely loosen - rather than having to unbolt the whole shaft. When you install the replacement you will notice the pull start is like new. Worth the cost. Not sure about the other versions - the aftermarket offerings - but I’d recommend the OEM. Update - still holding up great. Love my Honda. I have had the mower 9 yrs and this is the first I have spent money on besides gas. The mower runs like new again. There is some question whether it is actually Honda OEM, since there are no Honda markings on the new part. The original mower pull had a Honda sticker on top. The new part came in a bag marked “Honda parts”, but no Honda sticker. Still it looks like the original except for the Honda sticker.

Easy install
My original rope broke. I was going to try to rewind the coil spring and attach a new one but this was much easier. 3 bolts and route the cord and you're done.
