Hot Tools Professional Black Gold One Step Dryer & Volumizer

I have used Hot Tools marcel irons for years, and recently my daughter has been begging me to buy her this blower brush. She’s 15, and likes doing her hair, but always struggles with doing her own blowouts (so she ends up asking me, which I don’t mind). I was skeptical that this would work well, but I am so very happy with the purchase. My daughter tried it first, on freshly showered, damp hair. She said it worked well and fast, but she had a hard time doing the roots. Once she figured out the brush grip, it was fine. I tried it today before I went to run errands. My hair is naturally curly, and in the picture it is air dried after being in a bun, then down overnight. The only product in it is Moroccan Oil that I put on when wet. (It is flipped over my face to take the picture) In literally 5 minutes, going in chunky sections, it went from photo 1 to photo 2. No frizz, no hassle, no extra products. In short, I highly recommend you add this tool to your arsenal.

Fantastic product!!! I was hesitant to purchase, which product out of the dozens available? Will it work on this curly head of mine? Straighten and smooth, not leave me a puffy mess? It works!! My arm got tired, it's not super light, but not heavy. Sounds like a blow drier, but not as loud as my actual drier. Took some practice to use, but I got the hang of it. I did have to go over a few spots at the back of my head the next day due to the humidity which I don't have to do when I flat iron, but it was SO easy with this thing. I LOVE it. NO burnt hair smell. It's smooth and shiny. Salon-style beautiful. I read tons of reviews before picking this one. The Revlon was back ordered... I wanted one fast which is why I chose this one (Next day delivery), I'm happy I did. I can't say it's the "best" one, I don't have any comparison, but it works very well! I won't be sending it back (I planned to if it wasn't love at first try). I'd say go for it! Background: I'm a naturally curly girl, 2C curls, super thick and coarse (Latina) hair. Takes hours, upon hours to air dry. I gave up using a blow drier years ago when I discovered the flat iron. It'd take so long blow drying it straight with a round brush, I'd sometimes give up half way through and stick my head in the shower to curl it back up! Flat ironing has been great until my Solia gave up. Bought a highly rated GHD which flattens beautifully, but has given me a horrible amount of split ends, which has never been an issue. There's also a constant burnt hair smell despite using heat protectant, cleaning it, and having no heat adjustments (it's supposed to keep it at an equal "safe" temperature). So my search began for a new method to straighten my hair when I need a break from my curls ... Found it !

I had been thinking about growing my hair longer and COVID-19 made it a decision I didn’t have to make. But that meant more time with the round brush and hair dryer and never quite getting the sleek look I wanted. Saw a review of this dryer and the Revlon one and decided to pay the extra $20 to get Hot Tools. Based on the reviews and the subtle differences it was well worth the money!! I immediately washed my hair as soon as I got it, towel dried (highy recommend an Aquis towel. I’ve used them for many years and it takes towel drying to a new level.) I used the dryer on low (as I saw recommended in videos) and can’t believe how fast it dried, how easy it was to use, and what a sleek, smooth look I got! The knob at the end makes it easy to turn the dryer in your hands but I was easily able to rotate it using 2 hands on the handle part. It’s rather lightweight despite it looking like it will be heavy and because you’re only holding one thing at a better angle rather than a dryer and a brush it doesn’t get heavy while using it. I always thought my hair dryer by itself was pretty fast (partly because of the Aquis towel) but I think this was even faster with no shoulder aches, heavy arms and with better styling! I don’t write reviews but I was so impressed with this dryer/styler I had to write a review. My only complaint - no way to hang it. I like to be able to hang hair tools. But I may be able to find a simple way to hang it. But a built in hanger loop would make it perfect.

El cepillo es bueno, no se ha quemado ninguna cerda y no se sobrecalienta como el revlon, ha salido de muy buena calidad sólo es muy grande y sí llega a cansar, pero creo que todos los cepillos son de ese tamaño, si sabes usarlo deja peinado de salón. 😉

LOVED IT, used it for 5 months, had so much good comments on my hair! And now it has burned out. Won't start again, can't use it, have to get a new one (which won't happen). Very disappointing to be honest.

This tool is amazing!!!! I have thick 2C-3A curly hair, currently shoulder length & it took me 20 mins to get perfectly blown out hair. Full disclosure, I used a good quality leave in conditioner and dry bars prep and rally, which also helped. It was maybe 25% dry when I started. I have never been able to get my hair perfectly smooth without a flat iron. I have never had this kind of volume outside of a salon. Work in small sections and ensure they are dry before moving on and you’ll be golden! I barely even needed to brush my hair the next morning, still smooth, still shiny! It does get HOT when using, you need to use the cool shot and/or turn it off when moving between sections. Other than that, this is my most favourite hair tool, EVER!

Vraiment génial! J’ai les cheveux peu fournis, fins, cassants, sans volume et raide. Ce que je constate avec ce séchoir c’est que mes cheveux sont moins sollicité par la chaleur vue la rapidité du séchoir. Donc mes cheveux cassent moins. Extrêmement lisse aussi, le fer plat n’est plus nécessaire pour lisser et pour enlever le « grichou ». Je recommande vraiment.

Best purchase ever. Can finally get that salon blown out hair with out trying to fuss with a barrel brush separate from a hairdryer! It’s take 10 min max to blow dry it all out and straight. It lifts at the root and just gives it a clean frizz free look! Highly recommend the purchase!
