Husband Approved
I wasn't sure my husband would use this, but decided to take a chance. I handed it to him and didn't see it again, so I thought it had been rejected. Recently, I found out that he liked it so much that he stores it in his sock drawer so it is easy to find. He uses it every day and says it makes putting on socks so much quicker and easier. He is able to stretch his Hanes crew socks over it easily. The black rubbery part keeps the sock from slipping as he puts his foot into the sock and pulls it over his foot. He proudly showed me how well it works this morning, so I figured I should leave a review to let others know it is a simple and effective gadget. He does still have to reach down to pull the sock the rest of the way up his calf, but his mobility is good enough that isn't an issue. He was having to hold his breath to get his socks on before and then getting light headed, so this is worth every penny.

Works every time!
What can I say but that this simple item has helped my husband be able to put his own socks on. He loves it. He has big feet but this 'donner' has plenty of room for his feet. He exclaims every time he uses it too, a big hooray!! It's sturdy and easy to use and it works every time. It gives independence too that is so important for folks on the injured list or if you're just elderly a need a little help. A great product for the price too. Thank you so much!

Simple, life-changing independence tool for daily comfort
Simple, life-changing independence tool for daily comfort The RMS Deluxe Sock Aid is one of those humble gadgets that quietly changes your life if bending down has become a challenge. It’s remarkably easy to use—just slide your sock over the flexible plastic shell, drop it to the floor, slip your foot in, and pull the soft foam handles. The sock slides on smoothly, and for many users recovering from hip or knee surgery—or simply dealing with arthritis or back pain—it restores a sense of independence that’s hard to put a price on. The contoured shell has just enough flex to handle most regular socks (athletic, ankle, or dress), and the foam-lined grips make pulling comfortable even for weak or arthritic hands. The adjustable ropes are a thoughtful touch, letting taller or shorter users customize the reach. The slip-resistant pad inside keeps the sock from slipping off mid-pull, which helps reduce frustration. However, it’s not perfect. The plastic shell can crack with time, especially if used daily or with thick socks. It’s also too narrow for very wide feet or heavy compression stockings (which it isn’t designed for). Still, most users find the trade-off more than worth it for the convenience and freedom it provides. Bottom line: a simple, affordable, and surprisingly durable aid that makes getting dressed painless again. Ideal for seniors, post-surgery recovery, or anyone with limited mobility who wants to start their day without a struggle.

Good product
Very helpful device once you get the hang of it. Initially, I had difficulty getting the sock securely on, but once I figured that out I was pleased with how helpful it was for post op recovery from surgery. It has been sturdy so far.

Lifesaver
I purchased this product because I have severe polyneuropathy for my chest down and I’ve had to learn to walk eat and redress myself all over again. I was unable to bend down to put my socks on. However, this product has been a lifesaver. It’s durable and easy to use. You just slipped the sock over the sock aid and put it on your foot and pull the ropes and it pulls your socks right on. I would highly recommend this product. It’s a great value for the money.

It says NOT to use it with compression socks probably because the plastic cannot take the strain.
Works with REGULAR socks. We already have the large metal-cage version for compression socks, but really are not wearing those right now so we bought this to allow my hubby to put on his regular socks following his hip surgery. It takes a little practice and maneuvering to be able to use it properly. I deducted a star for "difficult to use" and I don't think the plastic will hold up to much use (and the reviews confirm this) so I deducted another star. Maybe it will last thru this healing phase.

This product is absolutely fantastic. So easy to use. Wish I had bought it sooner leading up to my hip surgery. Highly recommend and I don’t say this lightly.

Works gets your toes right into the end of your sock. Can't wait to see how it works on my compression socks. Why wait be right back. Well ok then, so pretty hard to load cause socks are so tight. However I figured out that if you pinch the sides and pull down, works pretty good. I just put a sock on and toes were in perfect and it took sock about halfway to knee. Then just used hands and pulled up rest of the way. Worked great. I believe these socks are a 15 in tightness. On a 25 or so you would likely have to oil up your foot to get it to slide through the plastic. It was kinda tight with 15 compression. But regular socks this unit works really good. I don't own ankle socks or sockets to test. Well I have sockets but they undue nuts. Anyway if you have bad hips or big guts I have both and putting on socks hurts the hip and knee. Ok update I just put on the other compression sock and what I said about pintch the sides.WRONG squeeze it a bit and slide the sock down easy peasy. Now the instructions say sit in a sturdy chair and your feet flat on the ground. Well I am not going to kitchen to put socks on,I am using a lazy boy recliner rocker. And I have no problem what so ever. My daughter will be really happy I have this cause after using big chainsaw for a day my hip has been sore for 3 weeks it is getting better but older ya get longer to heal. And she has been helping with socks. Mind you tonight will be the first time in 3 or 4 weeks since I wore compression socks as she could not get them on me. So if you can't bend over very well to put on socks this is a true game changer. As a matter a fact I am going to purchase another one for a fellow millwright at work that can't touch his toes and does not wear socks because of it.
