It does exactly what it says. I could not do rope twists to save my soul and this device does them well. The only downsides are: *The parts that twist the individual sections move counterclockwise but the part that twists the two sections together moves clockwise. So it unravels the sections a bit as it’s twisting them together. *The ends of your hair twist before the root so the ends may be tighter while near the root is still a little loose.

I used this for a wedding on 2 little girl's hair - a couple braids on each side. It worked beautifully for a day - to design the hair. The day of wedding it worked for one set of braids and failed part way through the second little girls hair. The springs that hold the hair appear to be very fragile. This is the second one I purchased thinking the first was a lemon. I don't recommend this product. Hopefully the design will improve - it would be a great tool once perfected!

This item is meant for straight thin hair. I give it four stars because it does work just not for every hair type. I’m a cosmetologist with over 15 years experience, I originally bought this product to give my husband who is African American twists and it did not work for him, I’m assuming because he has really kinky hair, it did work on my daughter who has straight Caucasian hair. I hope this review can help some people looking to purchase this as an easy way to create twists.

I get perfect twists in my partner's hair every single time (that I remember to use 1 first THEN 2, but that's square brain user error). I would buy this as a gift for all my friends if any of them had long hair, but they don't.

I give two star because it is not a Braider. It’s a twister. Two strands of hair therefore a twist.

Love this product! It is super easy to work with. I was afraid that with my hair being bery long and thick (hits almost all the way to my waist) it wouldn't work but much to my surprise the twister had no issues working with my hair. Overall awesome product.

Difficult to use, hair kept getting tangled in the mechanism and the gripper part didn't grip. I did read the comments/reviews and should have steered clear but I took a chance, wish I had saved my money.
