starts immediately even after sitting for a year... just blasts through... great saw.
Got this for the occasional giant tree we have to take down when we get a new property to renovate... this saw does a lot of sitting. just used this past week for the 4th time in 2 years to take down two 4.5 foot diameter oaks and then cut them up for the skid to move. it starts right up! it muscles through everything. even took out some barbed wire deep in a tree and barely slowed us down. it does go through gas pretty fast, and it is very heavy. Also, there is no chain brake so this is for someone used to using saws that knows what they are doing. just ordered a carbide chain for it... it is just a beast and does exactly what its supposed to do. highly recommend (for experienced chainsaw slingers)!

Buyer beware! DO NOT BUY!!!
I purchased this because of the price and some positive youtube reviews and I also purchased extra warranty. The motor is a beast! it felt like a Go Kart engine in my hand; PLENTY of POWER! 1. When I started it the second time (I let it warm up first), the pull cord would not retract all the way in... I addressed the issue. 2. When I started my cut and put the saw on its' side, it would shut off unless the fuel tank was completely full. 3. After topping off the fuel and finally started to cut, about two inches in, the handle broke off! 4. I contacted the seller and the saw sat in my shop while my return label was approved (oil leaked all over my bench). Once approved, I drained all fluids and what do I find? Fuel in the oil tank...That is a huge sign that this motor wouldn't last even if it worked. 5. Today I went to the Fed Ex, UPS and USPS... the label the seller sent is not pre-paid and the cost to ship to China is $277 for the powerhead and $75 for the 36" bar. That is over $250 in shipping to get a $470 refund. It simply isnt worth it. I bought a Stihl instead and now I am dealing directly with amazon in order to not get completely screwed. Save yourself the hassle and buy a Stihl or Husqvarna. Never again will I buy this type of JUNK from China. UPDATE: the seller keeps trying to avoid a refund. They keep offering to send spare parts for me to fix the saw on my own. Now I am dealing with Amazon to try and get a refund. Update April 3 2020: I returned the saw and they received it on 3 March. Still no refund!!! They have done everything to avoid me. A to Z claim was archived because they agreed to refund but then disappeared. I reopened the A to Z claim and the seller send an email asking me to close the case so they can refund me. Sham company! -Isaac, Richlands, NC.

Don’t buy a Stihl- perfect replacement half the money
The saw works exactly as described. Ran three tanks through for a break in period before cutting with it to ensure there would be no issues. The saw has power and is a beast. I’d definitely buy this saw again and might buy a smaller “limbing” saw. I will never buy a US saw for the price they are at the local dealer. This is the answer to what you need. Plan to attempt milling on an Alaskan mill this weekend. Should work great.

Gets the job done but don't expect frills
This is a beast of a saw. Heavy. Haven't had any problems with ripping wood in my Alaskan mill. Large and powerful enough to crawl right through the cuts using a ripping chain. The manual was a joke, parts of it reference Stihl saws and not detailed at all. Easy enough to assemble. Odd things led to my three star rating- no gasket around gas cap so tip it the wrong way and it's dripping. Bar oil leaks out at certain levels while not in use. No chain break so if this gets away from you the chain is not stopping. Not sorry for buying it.

Great saw but can't get a smaller bar

Big saw now bigger
I bought this to rebuild into a 090 137cc saw. Rebuilt the top end in 45 minutes. I love these saws. Easy to work on. Not a screaming saw, but stout and powerful lugger.

Don't Purchase This Saw
I thought this saw would be "fine" for what I was doing. I'm not a commercial tree cutter. My plan was to use this saw to cut slaps from fallen trees. This saw was a pain in the a** from the start. It has a compression release button on it but I damn near broke my wrist trying to start it. It did finally start and the release button work 30-40% of the time so you had to really be careful when starting it. Once I did get it started, the "stop" switch didn't stop the saw. I complained about it to Farmertec and they were quick with an answer. A $10 refund or they could send me a new switch but it would take 2-3 weeks to receive it. It actually only took 2 weeks to get it but there were no instructions on how to remove and install the new one. Today was the 3rd time for me to use the saw and now the blade will not rotate. The engine runs great but the blade doesn't move an inch. The finally straw for me. I have asked to return the saw and they have agreed to the return but I have to send it back to them at my cost. That means I have to pay to send back to China on my dime. Oh yeah, I can't send it by air either. I guess I'll send it on the "Slow Boat To China". Well this sucks!!!
