one of the best kitchen tools I've added to my kitchen. this is a must for anyone, who like I, use kitchen shears quite a bit in their cutting and cooking of various foods. these ALL METAL scissors can cut straight though the soft bone in a raw chicken breast, cut raw wings at the joint, and also cut right thought the backbone to spatchcock a raw bird. I cut a large trout and a thick red snapper in pieces with this scissor easily! I've gone through three of the kitchen scissors with the plastic handles, and the plastic broke on two of them and I just gave up on the third one and finally ordered this professional feeling scissor. I wish I could by all my loved ones one of these, meanwhile anyone who reads this review, and you need a real workhorse kitchen shear/scissor, get one of these while you can. oh btw, its quite beautiful in appearance too.

update: I roasted a whole chicken today and used these cutting part of it apart. They worked so very nice! The Best part was being able to take them apart and clean them! So Nice!!!! Love these. These are really nice. I have been wanting some scissors that come apart to easily clean. These fit the bill. They fit in my knife holder. They are the same size as the one I had there.

look sturdy but beware they are made in China not the USA

I find the scissors easy to take apart and easy to put together and they do not fall apart when I am using them. They are super sharp. They do not have pointed ends, like sewing scissors so you can't poke holes in plastic or use them easily as a utility knife, but they cut beautifully and they are not showing any signs of rusting. We are delighted!
