Solar Panel Connectors Compatible with M-C-4 Solar Connectors to DC Extension Cable 16AWG with DC 5.5mmx2.1mm, DC3.5x1.35mm,DC5.5x2.5mm and DC8mm Adapter for Portable Power Station Solar Generators

Purchased because different solar generators required different charging connectors: 5.5 mm for Ravpower and 8mm for Technoss solar generators. MC4 connectors/polarities matched perfectly with 100 watt Newpowa polycrystalline panel - received 85 watts at 12 noon, clear skies, April, northern California. Construction quality of connectors and cables seemed adequate for price-point. Very satisfied so far. Tip: Because polarities vary widely among different brands, it is important to verify polarities of solar panels, solar generators, and connector/cables when mixing/matching components.

Happy that this nicely made cable converter set solved my problem easily. Will update in case any usage reliability issue in 4-8 weeks.

Renogy 100W solar panel's MC4 connector POSITIVE will feed to the outer sleeve of this 5mm barrel plug, and the internal part will be negative. If that's NOT what you want, you'll need to switch MC4 connectors to fix that.. Other than that, the connector seems well made & solid.

I bought these cables as both backups & upgrades for any future purchases I will make modest solar system. Compared to Harbor Freight, the price was right..and, b-4 all ther price increaes take effect because of the political climate--I felt the need to get them NOW. So, kindly forgive me if I can't give you a 1st hand experience, I'm feeling gald I got them for my toolbox. Thansk for reading. Don

Fair price, this solar cable allows me to go straight in to many of my rechargeable power banks with minimal connections with the correct size barrow plug came fast and as stated, would buy again or recommend. Thanks

It comes with a variety of adapters. One adapter is exactly the one to connect a Goal Zero solar charger to solar panels that use MC4 connections. It's well made, and long enough to work. I wish it was a longer cord, but it's OK.

Took me a minute to wrap my brain around why this adapter was wired in a way that forced me to hook up a “positive” to “negative” connection. I checked it on the multi meter and all was good. The wires, connectors, and polarity were assembled correctly, but the manufacturer should have marked it better and provided an explanations to why it was built the way it was. I guess that’s a good reminder to never trust these Chinese manufacturers and always test before hookup. No issues whatsoever once it was installed. Charged my Jackery 240 with an HQST 100W panel with no problem. Basic instructions and better marked wires would have earned it 5 instead of 4 stars.
