Better than more expensive saws.
I have a fair number of saws, with different blades on each one. I started this one out with a Milwaukee demolition saw blade for a remodel prep and it performed quite well. The 3 little tracks are not useful so I used it with a 55" track to make some straight cuts and it was fine. I like the vacuum attachment and it saved on cleanup time. The power was fine and the weight was way better than my old worm drive demo saw. The height adjust was easy to reach and reset on the fly. The cord is fine but longer would be better. The big flat base is very nice on the wrist.

Good saw, decent track, check your tilt angles with a guage.
For the price, this saw is amazing! The track is nice, but the clamps have to be used every time and the seems don't join up perfectly without help.(possible shipping warp?) The base tilt and depth guages are not high precision, but you should always double check this anyway. The saw has plenty of power, is corded and has serviceable brushes on the motor. I have used it to rip 2" red oak and had minimal boging.

Game changer for cutting plywood!
I bought this unit plus the Wen 100” track package. The saw works great with the Wen tracks! Not sure if the Evolution tracks will attach to the Wens. Haven’t tried that yet, but the saw is excellent with either. Love the powerful 15amp motor. My first cut was in some old, rough cut 2” red oak and it went right through it! This track saw is so much easier than trying to set up and fight with a long straight edge guide. The saw and 40” track package is a great value. I wish they would add one more track so it can cut at least 48”, but it’s still a good deal. Wish I had this a long time ago!

So close to being great
It's a unique track saw for sure. The weakest part of this whole setup is clearly the short track. It is also not ideal that it comes in 3 sections. I got stuck occasionally in the transition. But we get it, has to get in the box somehow. Moving the track along to make a long cut was terrible made me want to throw the track!! So this saw is awesome for the price and makes pretty nice cuts with the multi blade. Getting a long one piece track however is a must!! This is definitely not a Festool so don't even attempt to compare the two!!

Can't be killed
I have had the saw for a couple years now. Treated it like a construction saw. Run hard and long days. I have cut thousands of feet and it won't die. I cut metal ,wood, and stone. But the primary reason I bought this particular track saw is it's open design is great for composite decking. Other track saws get plugged up when cutting plastic. I don't need dust collection so that's not a concern. The little tracks and clamps it comes with are a joke. Never used them. Get long tracks and ratchet track clamps from one of the other brands. The saw is amazing. Great deal and well built.

Evolution R185CCSX “Track Saw”
I bought the Evolution R185CCSX thinking I was getting a budget-friendly track saw. In reality it is just a circular saw bundled with a track. When mine arrived it was supposedly new but the tracks were clearly used and banjaxed, with splinter guards already coming off. I also tried pairing it with a Makita track (since it claims compatibility) but the saw sat about 2 mm away from the splinter guard, which made it useless. Even with a new Diablo blade the problems were obvious. The safety guard constantly catches on the track and has to be lifted by hand, which also rips the splinter guard off. And because it is not a plunge saw, there is a very real chance you will end up cutting into the track itself. After fighting with this I tried the WEN plunge track saw and it was a night and day difference. Quick, accurate, and much safer to use. That is what a track saw should feel like. If you are serious about getting straight accurate cuts, skip the R185CCSX. Either get the WEN if you want to save money, or spend more on a Makita. A circular saw on a track is not a real track saw.

Great for the money
Good power. Long cord. Works great. I can’t speak to the durability, but so far it’s as good as the name brand more expensive saws.

Definitely a really good saw
So far, it has been a very nice saw to work with. I have used it without the guide rails and its wide long base makes for good control. (I am still waiting for the rails to arrive, the first shipment got lost somewhere.). What surprised me is the blade. I bought a smooth cutting Diablo 60 tooth blade ahead of time because I assumed their blade, which is suppose to cut wood with mild steel nails and screws in it, as well as various plastics, would leave a roughly finished surface on my wood projects. To my surprise, the finish of the cut in medium-hard Southern Yellow Pine is quite decent. Probably 85% or 90% as smooth as the super smooth finish from the Diablo blade and likely preferable for glueing surfaces compared to the super smooth finish of the Diablo. Hopefully the saw works as well with the rails. So far... I really like it. The LED light illuminating the cutting-line is a nice little extra. Highly recommended!
