These are so good they sprout legs and walk off
I hate to say how many of these I have bought over the years. They are my favorite go to knife and I use it at least once a day. The snap off blade insure you have a sharp tip all the time. The knife itself fits my hand for a safe grip on it. Goes thru cardboard like butter and I would say it is my favorite all time too. I have tried cheaper brands but always come back to this one. I need to add a tracking device to mine, because I set them down and lose them all the time.

Sharp and Simple
I hesitated on this "box cutter" because of some reviews that complained about the slide latch not holding. But I figured different strokes for different folks, right? This boxcutter came with a heavy duty blade, and was a fit for blades I already had. I've cut cardboard, drywall, plastic and thin wood. The latch hasn't slipped once. I like the fact you can just snap off a blade section and keep on cutting. This blade has served my needs in the best way. So construction is excellent, function is spot on, the slide latch is excellent and locks well, the blade quality is sharp and heavy duty, and value for the money is excellent. If you want a sharp and simple cutter, this is the one. I recomment this as a buy.

blew me a way - and caused me to rethink what I carry
This knife cause me to rethink all my assumptions about the usefulness and viability of using a box cutter over a razor knife. First and foremost is the thickness and width of the blades themselves. The knife fits well in the hand, is easy to find in the tool pouch and best of all - you don’t have to stop to change a blade - just take your linesman’s and break the current tip off. I still have my razor knives and blades, but they are idle and have been so since a few days after the Olfa’s arrival. This is the single greatest utility knife I have ever used…If it wears out (and so far that doesn’t seem likely), I will definitely buy another one!

Extra Long Blade is real useful, but the knife is too big.
The "ginsu" knife really is the way to go for a utility knife in construction. Having the extra blade length means you can saw through deep material and do flush cuts. However, I had to return it because the thing is so big it doesn't fit in my bags or my pockets or anywhere. Even the slim model has a grip that's a little too wide and 'grippy' to pull out of my tool bags and put back in, I was fighting it all day. I've used the BeWalt equivalent for years, and it's a little janky now. So I went for the upgrade and this felt better made, but it takes up too much space. It's also plastic and the BeWalt is all metal. The locking mechanism does feel very nice on this one though; much better than the BeWalt. Try the H-1 I liked that model more than this, but still returned both. If you're leaving it on a bench or in a drawer it's perfect.

One of the best, if not the best.
I have several Olfa utility knives. The handle on my “decades” old original 1” started to crack. Slide lock is much easier to use but wheel lock works OK. Super sharp black blades are the best. Highly recommended.

Love all my Olfa knives
I have bought a number of Olfa knives recently from Amazon, in a variety of sizes, and I am impressed with all of them. For years, I used either an X-acto knife or one of those knives with a retracting blade where unscrew it and take it apart to change the blade. These Olfa knives are much better. The knife with the retracting blade was annoying because the blade had a tendency to retract when you applied too much pressure on the blade and sometimes it was hard to slide the level for extending or retracting the blade. The Olfa mechanism is solid and keeps the blade in place but moves easily when you want it to. It moves with a satisfying click. When the blade tip gets dull, you can take some pliers and break off the tip as the blades are perforated, so you get a fresh tip, which means the blades can last for a while. These Olfa knives are very satisfying to use.

Exactly what I needed.
The grip is nice and comfortable. The blade is stable when cutting through many layers. The blades are super sharp and great for cutting through chipboard. I use this for book binding and I cut many pages of paper with it. I get nice clean edges just doing small even pressured strokes.

Well built tool!
Works great! Well built and sturdy. Excellent for large hands and heavy cutting.

Way better than the knob to unlock and lock the blade. I used to leave it unlocked all day and have to hold it, this is just as quick and automatically locks.

I have used all types of cutters, Stanley etc and none of them are equal to the Olfa. Solid build with easy to use blade adjustment. They offer a range of blades and they are all sharp enough to cut through thick materials with ease.

Excellent knife well made Love the slider for the blade so much easier than those ones with the wheel! Highly recommend, spend a few more dollars and get this one! If you dont loose it (like I did my previous one!) It will likely last you for life

This is ridiculously sharp. Which is safer in the long run as you don't need to hack away at things and use excessive force thereby slipping and cutting yourself. Being this sharp, it also encourages a healthy respect in use. Nice grippy rubberized handle which is very easy to maintain a grip on. Mostly used for opening full packages and dismembering empty cardboard boxes. It's sturdy enough you could use it for cutting up old carpets or whatever. It's of the type that you index out just the amount of blade you need then when that bit goes blunt you can snap it off and dispose, indexing out the next section of sharp blade until you run out and replace with an entirely new one. Amazon also sell the replacement blades at a decent price.

Great knife. I bought a Stanley Fat Max and replaced it with this as it’s easier to use, easier to change the blades.
