Key Style #538 After reading the reviews, so great, some not so great, I was somewhat confident on removing the security screws. Some stated sour notes, while others praised the purchase. Fit well on the security key screw, also fit well in receiving the17mm socket. My wheels are torqued 140Nm, (103Ft-pounds). I used a two foot breaker bar to break free each security screw on the VeeDub. Recommendations: If your torque value of the lug bolts or nuts is above 150 Ft-pounds, (203Nm), I recommend you purchase two keys. I had no issues, however, I took my time, used the correct tools to do the job. If your wheel bolts are over torqued, definitely purchase two keys. I managed with the purchase of one key.

This fit. But it had such shallow of a bite that it just slipped. I took my car to Costco and two different VW dealerships and none of them could use this to remove my wheels. Costco does not carry wheel lock keys and the first VW dealership "lost theirs. The second one had it but tried this first with no luck and were visibly/verbally frustrated. I actually tried it myself before taking it to the second dealership using a hand impact driver set. If you are not familiar with what that is, you hold a tool against the nut with the proper sized socket and slam it with a sledge hammer. It forces the tool into the socket (in this case the "key") but that also did not work with this. Its a complete piece of trash. Do not purchase it, go to a VW dealer who actually has the "key" you need and have them remove your locks for free. Then either buy new locks with the correct key or do as I did and replace them with regular lug bolts. I could not imagine being stranded on the side of the road using one of these pieces of **** trying to change my tire. Well, I could. It just wouldn't happen.

Was a little bit of a gamble, since I wasn't sure what the correct one was for a 2012 Tiguan. 538 fit perfectly, impact took the bolt right out. Fits very tight and uses the same size (17mm) socket as the wheel lugs, which makes it a good fit to leave in your car if you lose the stock one.

I bought the #538 from the kit for my fiancées 2011 vw Jetta wheels. Living in a small town this socket is almost impossible to come by. The socket came on time (wish it would have came earlier but there was no option and we live pretty far from any major cities) and fit perfectly. Seems to be high quality as it weighs like 2lbs alone. We will most definitely be buying specialty sockets from this company again!

Even though I am going to throw this socket and the wheel locks in the trash, this saved me a lot of money. The car I bought had wheel locks and the socket was nowhere to be found. I contacted the dealership and although they have a master set of VW sockets, they wanted to charge $84 to remove them!!! I quickly found this much cheaper alternative and within 5 minutes, I was able to remove the wheel locks and install regular lug bolts.

I lost the wheel lock key on my 2022 VW GTI (left on the ground in an airport parking lot when I had to change a flat real quick) Dealership wanted over $200 to remove and replace all 4 with a new set so I got this Temo key from Amazon. It worked perfectly. I read lots of reviews that said it was soft metal so I was very careful and had no problems.

neded to replace my missing lock key for my 2011 Golf. THis worked great

The metal is too soft. I ordered the 524. It was a good fit. I used a manual X speed wrench. No excess force. It deformed on the first bolt. It is now useless. Don’t be fooled. The inside insert is black but it it is not hardened steel. Figured I’d try it because my local dealership quoted over $150 for the OEM part and 4-6 weeks for delivery.
