I have one more Mogul bulb left but I figured I should look for a solution. This adaptor works and is made very well. If you need an adaptor, I'd buy this one. The quality seems high being made with ceramics and other fundamental materials. One person said that it didn't work for them because the bottom of the adaptor projected farther than the old bulbs. It does but it wasn't a problem for me. Of course, no more 3 way lighting but my old lamp didn't honor that anyway. It had 3 setting but only 2 worked. It doesn't give off as much heat as the bigger Mogul bulb which is Good but I do miss the brighter than bright light that the old bulbs provided. I will look for a bulb that can give me more light. Very important - someone said to be careful not to toss the adaptor away when changing the bulb. This is SO true! The adaptor came out along with the light bulb when I switched back to my mogul bulb so watch out for that. If the bulb seems too heavy, the adaptor is attached!

Very nice quality. It does the job. I use an incandescent 60 watt bulb with no issues. I was surprised at the high quality. It’s a good option

Ever buy an antique light fixture only to get it home and find that you cannot even put a lightbulb in it because those light bulbs are practical extinct...well, don't worry about spending a ton of money on the bulbs on the internet, you can use this "reducer" and use a standard bulb. We have been building an outdoor pavilion and found some barn lights at a yard sale and when I got them home, I felt stupid, how do I get these bulbs for hundred-year-old lights. Then an electrician friend of ours said get a reducer. Viola. These things work beautifully, and we have had no problems with them. What a game changer this has been. I highly recommend them.

The 100/200/300w incandesant bulbs didn't last very long in my floor lamp. This adapter made it easy to use an led a21 bulb. I didn't check the specs, it's not for 3 way bulbs. My mistake? Thus the 4 star overall rating. LED's are definitely a money saver...

If you have an old lamp that uses Large base (E39) bulbs, this adapter will allow you to use normal medium base light bulbs. Note if lamp can use 3 way light bulb, this adapter will not allow a three way bulb to work (and is stated in the description), but it will work: From off position- 1st click still off; 2nd click goes on; 3rd click still on; 4th click back to off. Now instead of having a very hot, very expensive incandescent, I can now use an LED bulb.

Perfect fit for my antique floor lamp. Screw it into the lamp and screw in a regular bulb. Price is right.
