Donaldson’s reputation is intact, Quality, efficiency with all the extra filtration material.
This is a great filter for our Diesels engines, Lot of surface area to filter the oil out. A very close fit near the oil pan, it is doable on most rigs, yet in my 2001 this fits perfect. Definitely, I put oil in this then mount it. CAVEAT here, I suggest fill maybe half way, else it will be too heavy to twist on in tight clearance. Plus if it tilts on you installing it, expect a stream of oil down your arm !

Really big filter like a school bus size
Definitely much bigger the the factory filter on a f250 7.3. I have the coil spring mono mean front suspension it doesn’t matter to me I do. It recommends this for a stock truck with factory suspension it will hit on 4x4 leaf springs suspension it’s Donaldson quality product for sure 15 microns

My truck is lifted this fits and doesnt extend past the oil pan & adds extra capacity. More capacity and finer filtration than OEM, whats not to like.

DBL7405 OIL FILTER IS THE BEST OIL FILTER I HAVE USED
2nd purchase for a 2000 Ford Excursion 7.3l. Great filter! longer life and greater capacity. Adds about 2 more quarts of oil to your oil change. I could see it may be too tight a fit for a 2WD.

False Advertising
Buyers beware. If you were looking for a filter that is made in USA this is not it. No where in the description or specifications does it say made in Mexico or product of Mexico. In the picture it clearly says made in USA.

2001 ford f250 7.3 Filter works great so far. No issues. Truck runs good. Barely fits. Filter is so huge
