It is a stunning piece of art, if I am permitted to call it that. It looks much better than the pictures portray, and the scabbard has that wonderful leather smell that I love so much. It actually has quite a bit of heft. I am extremely pleased with this purchase.

I got to check a couple boxes off on my knife checklist with this one. Spiral edge dagger✔. Damascus steel✔. I'm no expert and definitely not a full blown collector either, but I'm truly pleased with my purchase! What the knifesmith puts into something like this is humbling to a man like me. Just in visual alone, I'm nothing but smiles! Also, the only reason I gave 4 stars on Value is because I don't truly know the right or wrong number to put on this. That's all.

Geneva convention laws apply mostly to warfare and human rights. Example: hollow point ammunition is not allowed in warfare because they are deemed cruel and unusual but in the United States armed Citizens are strongly encouraged to use them in self defense crisis events so the projectile does not pass through and injure or kill someone behind the threat. So always check your local laws regarding what knives are legal and what not. Besides. I doubt they could be sold on this sight if they were illegal in the whole of these United States. Btw, switchblades and Bailsong knifes are legal in Michigan. UN, world court, and treaty conventions are not necessarily enforced in a given country in regards to individual citizens and state and local laws. There is also a difference in ownership versus carry weapons as far as legality is concerned. The knife is okay. I got the baby brother to the 10 inch one. I’m not a metallurgist so I won’t even try to discuss structural or craftsmanship. I thinking of returning the small one and use the difference to buy the 10 inch. It just teaches me to be more careful in my selection. Again. Always check with local or state laws to be on the safe side. Another example are “paperweights” that are really full size brass knuckles. Legal to buy and own but very illegal to carry. Stay safe and use some common sense out there.

I bought this for my boyfriend’s birthday and there was a small shipping mix-hap, but the owner did what he could to get the gift to me in time. My boyfriend absolutely LOVES this dagger. It is beautifully crafted and solid.
