🔧 Power your flow with precision and durability!
The BACOENG Brass Electric Solenoid Valve is a 1/2" NPT threaded, normally closed valve operating on 110V AC power. Crafted from corrosion-resistant brass, it supports hot and cold water, gas, and low-viscosity fluids, making it ideal for industrial and home automation applications. Its robust design ensures reliable sealing and easy installation, while the AC coil provides strong magnetic actuation despite typical operational noise and heat.

Excellent value, noisy and hot and could leak if the direction of flow is wrong.
After reading the reviews, I took a chance and ordered one of these valves. I'm using this valve under my vanity to recirculate hot water back to the water heater through the cold water line. The function meets my expectations and I think it's a great value for a solid built stainless steel valve. The "problems" described by the other reviewers may be due to the following: Getting hot - I have over 40 years experience in the industry and solenoid valves do get hot. This is as expected. Any coil is going to generate heat when it creates a magnetic field strong enough to hold the plunger open against the spring pressure. This should not shorten the lifetime, it is normal. (Good luck finding a valve of this type that does not get hot when on.) Noise problems - DC (Direct current) valves are much more quiet. This is an AC (Alternating Current) valve and therefore by design, the field expands and collapses 50 times per second. (50 Hz) This creates the vibration that causes the noise. If you want to reduce the noise, you can remove the coil and apply sticky wheel bearing grease on the outer side of the valve stem and then slide the coil back in place. Another trick to try too is to put a thin rubber washer or O-ring on either side of the coil. This should significantly reduce or dampen the noise but there will still be some hum when the coil is energized. DO NOT turn the power "ON" to the coil without the valve stem in the coil! (Or a screwdriver.) That's how you melt the coil windings on AC solenoids. (DC valves don't matter.) NOTE the small arrow and install the valve in the correct orientation of flow. Otherwise the pressure could force the valve open. If installed correctly, the pressure will force the valve closed when de-energized, and further help seat the valve sealing area. Hope this helps. I'm very happy with my valve. A quality Stainless Steel valve for 30 bucks!

Have yet to install it , but seems well made solid construction.
Using this on a project i have designed. Bought this valve because it was well priced. Satisfied so far,

Excelente calidad, aunque después de un mes empezó a tener problemas con la activación (apertura) le apreté un poco la tuerca superior y al parece ya no falla, estaré haciendo más pruebas.

Can't live without it...
Inexpensive, long-lasting. I bought the last one in 2014 to keep hot water from self-circulating except when power is applied. The hot water is just unfiltered city water and after 9+ years it finally got filled with so much scale it couldn't close. A real workhorse.

defective
The output side of the valve leaked no matter how much Teflon tape I put on it, so I tried Teflon paste and that didn't work either. The threads are just not deep enough for a stainless hex nipple to seal. By the time I got to the point of trying a silicone washer the valve would no longer operate and this after only a half dozen or so cycles. I had passed the Amazon return date by this point so I contacted the seller. They immediately offered me a replacement if I would provide my shipping address. I would have waited to write a negative review, but I never received the replacement nor did I receive any further communication from the seller.
