Great product that is helping my ankle heal faster
Yes it takes a while to put it on, but as you get used to it it takes less than a minute to get it on. It gives very great support for my ankle. I tore my ligament and cannot wear a boot due to work. This lets me put my foot into my shoes. With socks it is difficult to fit into a shoe, but it covers most of your foot except your toes, so it's pretty much like a sock so I don't wear a sock on the injured foot. Does not smell bad like other products that off gas. The only thing I can think of that is negative is if your ankle is severely injured, it may take a while to take off gently to not aggravate your ankle.

Fits well, good support for your ankle
The only reason I would have left a 4 star review, but did not is the laces are too small. I was advised by my physical therapist to get the small as my Dr. gave me a medium. The fit is snug, as it should be, but I am going to replace the laces with the longer ones from my other brace. I have multiple issues with my ankle and need this to keep my foot 'in line." The figure-8 design is exactly what my Dr. wanted me to have and the Velcro straps are easy to wrap. All are permanently attached which is needed, as opposed to others where the strap is separate from the boot.

Not a good brace for post fracture trauma
I purchased this brace to wear at night after fracturing my fibula. I wear a fracture walking boot during the day, but needed an appliance I could wear during the evening and through the night for stability. This is a very functional brace and it is comfortable, however, getting in and out of the boot is difficult since the foot needs to be maneuvered around to lace up and properly place the velcro straps. The laces have to be loosened a great deal in order to fit one's foot into the brace. I had to partially unlace the boot in order to slide my foot into the brace which was awkward and uncomfortable. The velcro straps need to wrap under the brace in order to place them properly on the side. It's an ordeal. Once the brace is on, it does stabilize the foot and it is comfortable. However, removing the brace is also an ordeal since one is repeating the process of putting it on. The laces practically have to be removed to comfortably remove the brace and slide it off the injured foot. This process can be painful. In retrospect, I would not have purchased this brace had I known how complicated it is to put on and take off. I'm still giving the brace a four star because it does support the ankle (and lower fibula) and it is comfortable once it's on. But this is not a brace I would recommend for someone with an ankle or low fibula break - it's just too awkward to use.

Not quite perfect but pretty close
My medical professional recommended I order this ankle brace for a sprained ankle. I wear a woman's size 8.5 US shoe and ordered the medium, fits me well. Once I figured out some of the quirks of how to put it on that don't show in the video I found it to be comfortable and supportive. Application tips they don't show you in the video: 1. You really want to wear this with a mid-calf or full calf sock as shown. I intially wore with ankle socks and no-show socks (it's hot weather) and it was very uncomfortable. Switched to a mid-calf sock slightly taller than the boot, much better! 2. I had to unlace it nearly to the ankle in order to get my foot in it without putting pressure on or torqueing my injured ankle. 3. Boot arrives with the laces going through the tongue lace holder after lacing at the ankle point, which pulls the tongue down, bunching the tongue at the ankle point and also then the tongue doesn't protect your shin from the grommets higher up. Once I noticed the tongue lace holder, and that the laces were going through it a the wrong lace point, the tongue stayed in place and also stayed in position to protect me from the grommets. 4. The leathery-looking side of the ankle straps is the side that sticks to the boot. You'd think it would be the velcro-looking side but it is not. After getting the quirks out of the application process, I discovered this boot is supportive and super comfortable to wear all day. I work in a very large office building and usually walk 4-5 miles in a typical work day; this brace let me do that comfortably.

Seems to add a lot of support, but difficult to put on
The first night I wore it, I felt no pain in my sprained ankle. It was day 10 after I sprained my ankle, I had been wearing a boot. I was hoping for something with enough support but not as bulky as the boot and something I could drive with. This largely fit the bill. I find this incredibly challenging to put on and take off. The first time I had to completely remove the laces because it was way to tight to get my foot through. I figured that was a one time thing, I was almost wrong. I struggled to get it on the first time, about 20 minutes of being hunched over, hurting my back which has a long history of of pain. But I figured I was just learning and it'll get better, it didn't get much better. I wore it that night and loved the ease of movement and felt no pain. I wore it overnight, kept the foot secure, felt great the next morning. Then it was a struggle getting it off for a shower, I had to practically remove all the laces, then another struggle to put it back on. About 15 minutes each time. I wore it to work, loved the freedom of movement for the first few hours. But by noon, my ankle was hurting, so I put the boot back on. I mistakenly took it off for bed, kicking my myself for not remembering until the end of the 15 minutes taking it off that I intended to wear it overnight. I realized while taking it off, I seemed to have twisted it a bit when I put it on. That may have contributed to the pain. In the end, I don't want to trade ankle pain for back pain. I'm not putting it back on, I will try something else that looks easier. Your mileage may vary. It does seem to be effective. I just don't have the patience for it

Great brace for fair price
It's a great brace. We have sent several other brand back because they were too small. This one is sized as expected. Working great after my husband's transition from a knee boot post fibular free flap.

I’m confused by this product as it has no laces. I reread all of the description and looked at the pictures and they are supposed to have laces. The one I received has just Velcro straps. We will try this one on and see the support it gives.
