Optimum Cablevision Remote Control DVR W/Batteries & Instructions

One reviewer said that it no longer comes with the codes and instructions. Don’t know what they are talking about. It came with batteries AND instructions with the TV codes. It works great with my old Sony.TV and Optimum Cable box.

Works great, arrived right on time, easy to assemble.just pop the battery right in and go.Quick and simple. Great value for your money.My sister keeps losing her remote. So I bought her another. So when she finds the one she lost. Now she will have an extra.MAYBE..if she ever finds it.. LOL..

The only one that works with my tv cable box

This was an inexpensive replacement for the remote to my Samsung smart TV. It controls , most of the function of my cable box

Lighter than the original and easy to program

Will only power on Cable box (but not TV power) though it is enabled to change channels. As a result of not having TV brand code needed to pair remote to the TV, the remote is almost useless. These TV brand codes (i.e. LG, Samsung, Vizio, to name just a couple), would/should have been included in missing instructions. TV volume can't be changed either, useless. I contacted seller, and also had "Human Chat" on site requesting (the advertised to be included ) instructions, and/or TV pairing code, without success. Was told the remotes no longer come with instructions - though stated on sales site's that instructions are included. Looked on Cablevision site, googled for necessary code(s), and also tried to find on You Tube, etc., again no success. Very unhappy with this purchase (and I had bought 2).

Our dog damaged our remote and we found this to be the perfect replacement. Easy instructions included to pair with TV and cable box. Great deal.

After programming, this remote works to turn on/off and adjust the volume. It does not work to change channels or work the DVR functions. Be prepared to make do with those functions or return.
