Great but only for a few months
I’ve purchased a few times from this brand to decorate my living space with beautiful ambient lighting but unfortunately the most recent sets I ordered both stopped working after about 6-7 months of use. Ive tried replacing the batteries in the remote and switching the adapters but they flicker, occasionally turn on one random color like red or white and then they die again. They dont respond to any remote function. I reached out via email but got no response. Hoping to get a replacement before having to order from a different brand next

Wonderful lights
These LED lights are absolutely fantastic! From the moment I set them up, I noticed how bright and vibrant they are, yet they use very little energy, which is great for saving on electricity bills. The installation process was straightforward and didn’t require any special tools or skills, making it perfect for anyone to do on their own. I love how versatile they are—you can adjust the brightness and sometimes even change colors depending on the model, which helps create the perfect mood for any occasion. Plus, they have a long lifespan, so you don’t have to worry about replacing them often. Overall, these LED lights offer great value for the price and have really transformed the look and feel of my space. Highly recommend!

Stopped working after 8 months - REVISED
This was my original submission - The lights installed just fine and worked perfectly for about 7-8 months and then just went dead. I checked all the connections and when I unplugged and replugged in the power converter they came on for a minute or two but then went out again. I changed the battery in the controller, but that didn't work either. Pretty disappointing. But...it turns out that I had a bad GFCI outlet that caused the problem. Once the outlet was replaced the lights worked fine. Daybetter, to their credit, has great customer service and sent me a replacement at no charge (which I will now offer to pay for.) Hope this clears things up.

This was awesome, and so bright and beautiful, but .... it's on the same RF as a Roku remote!
I added this to the back of my new computer (I'm Deaf, and use video chat to make all my calls) to brighten up my room and not have a strip light in my eyes for every call, and it absolutely does the trick! It's wonderful, and bright. The colors are amazing. The ONLY drawbacks so far: I saw another reviewer mention that the lights are on the same RF (remote frequency) as their streaming devices, but considering I didn't have that exact kind, I thought it was a quirk. It's not. And it's funny, and very-not-funny at times. Anytime I use my Roku to push play or pause (just clicking OK or using the arrows is fine), the lights revert back to white. It's aggravating at times. Strangely enough, when I use my power chair joystick to control the Roku (I programmed it myself, so I could use it even if I couldn't find the remote), the lights don't respond to my power chair RF, just the actual remote for the Roku unit itself. If I point it directly at the TV with the RF responder more than 90 degrees left or right from my aim, it doesn't respond or bother it. From the other angle, where my computer and TV are in the same general 90 degree space from where I'm pointing, it defaults the lights to white. I don't know if this is something It's silly, but it might really matter to some people. The second negative I've found, is that it sucks a lot of power (which is, I believe, the power plug, not the lights itself). When I unplug the mini-brick from power, the red light power indicator will remain on for up to two minutes sometimes. This means it will hold a charge even when not plugged in. It's a bit unnerving. I'm not sure if all lights/appliances/devices keep a charge in the power brick even after unplugging and this one just happens to have a built-in indicator, but I've resorted to unplugging it at night, just so there's no power drain while I'm sleeping or not actually using that part of the room. I might keep it on a power strip that I can turn on/off as needed to prevent any kind of power drain.

Room Decor for Kids – Fun and Vibrant LED Lights
My son was really excited to get the DAYBETTER LED Strip Lights for decorating his room, and it has been a fantastic addition! The 32.8ft length is more than enough to cover the walls, and the lights are bright and vibrant, with tons of color options. He loves being able to customize the colors using the remote—there are so many fun combinations to choose from! Installation was super easy—just peel and stick, and the adhesive holds up well. The remote control is really handy, allowing him to change the colors, brightness, and even adjust the lighting modes without getting up. It's great for setting different moods or even using as a nightlight. These lights really helped transform his space into a cool, personalized room. Whether he's studying, playing, or just relaxing, the lights add a fun and calming vibe. Overall, this is a great product for anyone looking to add a little flair to their kid's room without breaking the bank. Highly recommend for any young person looking to add some color to their space!

Works until they don't. Less than 2 years of use.
I bought these in September 2024 to hand under the loft of my kid's bed. They've worked well up until today-- they were flickering (only on standard white, any other colour was fine) and by end of day they do not function.. Unsure if it's the control center or the power adapter. Remote unresponsive even with new battery.

Great lighting effect
This was a replacement item for a set that didn't work. The replacement is perfect! Exactly what I had originally wanted. The lights work great! The color selection is awesome and the lights on their brightest setting are rich in color and brightness. Installation is simple. Very pleased with the replacement.

Not bad, but lacking
EDIT: 15 months in and it's all still true. Glue held, remote is garbage, light is harsh but livable. They did offer me a full refund but I let it lay since it was $10 and I didn't care enough to try another, but I'll be surprised if the remote, which I only use to turn it on and off once a day, lasts a second year. No warm white: The single biggest issue is that the white can't be adjusted. The remote has all sorts of buttons, some of which work if you play with it long enough to figure them out, but none let you make the white warmer. So, dim white (which isn't that dim) is harsh. Still OK for a TV bias light. Remote: It's infrared, which is nice. (I don't need an unknown company on my network when IR/RF tech is cheap and established.) The remote doesn't work very well. It can be finicky to get the receiver to respond. The buttons don't seem reliable. And there's a short in the remote. I often find myself having to hit it or twist it before it will respond. (My fan has the same on/off signal so I can test the remote and receiver separately). Also it doesn't come with instructions to explain how to do things. Receiver: The receiver sensor is on a short, white cord so you may want to determine where you want it before attaching the LEDs. The insulating cover tries to straighten out so it's hard to get it pointed in the right direction. Bright: The lights are plenty bright enough, but far apart. I can see the effect on the wall behind the TV. It'll be visible even in a diffuser channel. There really needs to be a measure of lumens or lux somewhere in the description (per LED, meter, roll, whatever). Sticking: The adhesive seems to hold. If it's somewhere that gets hot it probably won't hold, but that's what adhesive does. Smooth it down carefully with your nail or something to make sure you get maximum direct contact. After a couple of days, I had to smooth mine down again in a couple of spots, but it seems to be holding well, especially where I kept it tight while installing it. Placing the strip and pulling the backing out while holding it in place worked well. (If yours is falling, adding fresh double-sided tape might help, or Command light hooks.) Smell: It's only fair to mention there's an unpleasant smell. It wasn't too strong and seems to have faded over a week or so. I did need to wash my hands several times after applying the strips, though. Connecting: You're supposed to make any cuts on the copper marks that occur every 5 inches or so, which makes planning for stuff like a TV awkward since you're limited by the strip, not the TV. (The cuts may force you to put the tape 3" from the sides instead of where you wanted it, or you might find it off-center because of a planning mistake.) More importantly, it doesn't come with connectors, like for putting it square on a TV. (The L-shaped ones will highlight this spacing issue, where the wire-type ones will let you start the next side where you want it. This kit needs 4-pin 10mm, 12V connectors, FYI.) Two Strips: On the subject of connecting. There are two strips and two places to plug them into the controller, so both need to start at the same place. There are conflicting reports on how far you can chain them with connectors, but the company seems to advise against extending them. Buying a second power supply/controller will cost you more than another kit. Power Loss: One last thing, the system seems to have a memory. I set the color and brightness and killed the power via powerstrip. When I turned the strip back on a few seconds later it was on and had the same brightness, etc. I may take advantage of that for areas where a remote, much less one with 44 buttons) is a dumb idea.
