My old one broke. I did not want to make new holes for the newer ones they make now. So this matched perfect. Key thing is don't put too many clothes on the rack if it breaks it means it's past time to get rid of stuff as you probably not wearing half of what was up there anyway. Lol

These brackets fit the older Rubbermaid wire shelves with the clothes bar integrated into the rack, not the ones made separately like you find in the stores in 2025. The actual product dimensions are 4.375"H x 1.25W. That is the base plate measurement. The actual channel that the grid fits into is 2.875" tall x .625" wide. These don't fit your rack if it doesn't have the integrated clothes rod built into it, as the photo shows. I hope this helps!

These hangers work well and are easy to install. I had to remove some for a kitchen remodel. The trick is to grab the head of the screw/nail with visegrips and pull it straight out then wiggle the bracket back and forth while pulling out. They will come out with minimal damage to the holes. The screw/nail really does not unscrew. I decided not to reuse the brackets and installed new ones after the remodel was complete.

This was my first time using any item like this or installing it myself. After a little bit of play I was able to figure out how to properly install them and lots of measuring. In the end it was the right choice and sturdy to hold up my shelf.

It was the perfect replacement I was looking for. You don’t need to cut it down like mentioned in other reviews unless you are using this instead of the smaller sized brackets.

The listed dimensions are inaccurate. Note that the slot depth is actually 2-15/16” if that helps anyone in the future. These are also not returnable even though they are sold directly by Amazon. So for the thousands and thousands of products that Amazon sells and allows returns on, this one doesn’t make the cut. Makes sense, right? I have two of these now that I paid for and are completely useless.

I have an older shelf system that used a slightly different size of this holder. A dremmel tool and a couple minutes and it worker perfectly. Seems better quality than the original, so will probably outlast the shelves now.

Worked well to replace a broken one.
