Creative Dance for All Ages

I have been teaching preschool dance in studios for over 20 years. I have never found such a helpful comprehensive book/curriculum tailored for the young dancers. There are tips for behavioral problems, excellent music and prop ideas, and even detailed lesson plans. My very favorite point that the author makes- something that I have said for years and years- is that the most important skill to be a successful dance teacher is a positive sunny attitude. This is an excellent resource for new and experienced teachers

Purchased this book for my granddaughter who is in college majoring in Dance. She said the book has been invaluable to her as she teaches elementary students about dance.

As a former dance teacher that kept running out of fun ideas for small children this book was a life saver! I mostly just read the activity ideas but I loved that they were structured by topic. I can't wait to teach again now that I have this book.

My granddaughter is taking contemporary dance, and the dance moves she is learning are outlined clearly in the book. It is a good reference for her, and for me to help her with what she's supposed to learn.

I had to buy this book for school, this was one of the most boring textbooks I've ever bought. I did however save $37 buying it on Amazon, as compared to what I would have paid at the campus bookstore.

Incredible resource for Dance Teachers. If ever one is lost when looking to teach any age creative dance, this book holds valuable knowledge to not only create fun and educational lesson plans, but teach the fundamentals of dance through a means other than technical steps and movements.

Anne Green Gilbert has written the 'bible' on creative dance. Thorough and easily understood. Every creative dance teacher should own a copy.
