Schlack was well packaged. Dissolved quickly and looked good on the finished project. I am going to try one a little darker and see how that works out.

Dissolves within a day. I divide a packet into 4 batches, then for each add about 250-300 ml of methylated spirit and shake vigorously for the first 5 min, then every few minutes for the first 30 min, then whenever I remember - if shaken continuously for the first 30 min, I would say that one batch can actually be ready to use within a few hours (there are usually a few small flakes at the bottom that take a while to dissolve; most dissolves within the first 30 min). NOTE: white spirit does not dissolve shellac. It needs to be dissolved in ethanol (denatured alcohol / methylated spirit etc.) The quality is good - there is hardly any waxy residue at the bottom. I apply with a lint-free cloth (also got it on amazon), use it for home-style french polish. You can see the colours on the pics: - unfinished pine wood (left on P1, right on P3) - white/grey - medium number of coats (bottom right on P1) - white/yellowish - thick coat (top right on P1, P2 and left on P3) - yellow/orange When applied sparsely, it gives the wood warm light yellow tinge. If you continue to a thicker coat, it becomes more orange. The more coats, the more shiny it becomes! Buying a second pack to carry on with the next item!

Ich habe mit dem Shallac "Sanding Sealer" hergestellt und bin mit der Qualität zu frieden. Die Shellac ist entwachst und kommt in einer Kunststofftüte sicher verpackt.

Buon prodotto, attenzione che si scioglie molto piu lentamente della gommalacca commune (ci vogliono diversi giorni agitando spesso energicamente la bottiglia fino a disaggregare I depositi sul fondo). Per il resto va filtrata e dopo e' stabile e molto simile a quella convenzionale tranne il fatto che e' molto piu' trasparente ed evidenzia meglio le venature del legno e permette di mantenere le tonalita' chiare.
