Almost all Beta Sitosterol and Plant Sterols on the market are made with soy, which contains phytoestrogens and other substances that can cause unwanted side effects. Bluebonnet is the only one clearly labeled as not having soy, and is made with sunflower instead of soy. Comes in an amber glass bottle for freshness, and is made in the USA. Costs a bit more than cheap soy sterols, but definitely worth it.

I got this product to assist with managing cholesterol, and it has certainly measured up. It contains 250mg of beta sitosterol and it has also had a beneficial effect on prostate issues as well. That’s the same amount of beta sitosterol as found in the popular prostate product, “Super Beta Prostate”. The beneficial effect didn’t happen overnight. Took about 3-4 months of regular use, but did have improvement effect.

Was told by my doctor that my cholesterol was a bit too hight (consistently 220) and that I needed a statin. I am sensitive to meds and am already on other things so I begged her to give me 60 days to lower it without statins. Started taking this supplement every day, greatly reduced my saturated fat intake and increased my cardio workouts and dropped my overall cholesterol to 188 in 2 months! I believe this helped a lot. My only negative is that I just reordered it (same price) and instead of Amazon fulfillment it was supplied by another vendor - I ordered a bottle of 90 as advertised and received a bottle of 60 capsules. Reached out to the vendor through Amazon to see if they would send the additional 30 capsules to me - NO response. (sigh). Don't want my experience to detract from this product though - I feel it really helped me.

I bought this vitamin a month ago and I will admit that my vision has improved. I had fluid in my left due to stress. This has happened before in the past, as it comes and goes. Last week I was checked by my doctor and he was amazed at how fast it cleared. I will not claim that this product is responsible, but who knows? I do know that I feel my vision has been better since using it. It may be a placebo effect but either way things are better.
