Mr Stiffy - The Resuable Lint Filter Stand Pipe

I used this in my deep sink drain. The holes in the "Stiffy" appear to be a bit large to catch much lint. As the deep sink filled up when the washing machine drained, the increasing water level and pressure seemed to force the lint through the holes. So, I placed a nylon mesh lint filter over the top of stiffy. The result, a small flood in the laundry room as my washing machine overflowed the deep sink. The water could not drain fast enough. It just doesn't seem to be a good idea, partially plugging up a drain with a plastic "Stiffy". And I'm sure they thought the name wasn't juvenile at all. I ended up going back to a filter hanging off the drain hose. Without the plastic plug, the deep sink drains just fine.

I was under the impression that this would work in a laundry standpipe. It does not. Would probably be ok in a tub/sink but that is not my situatiion

we have this installed in our 14 unit building. It does the job but it is nasty and difficult to clean. I like the "Lint Trapper' better as it is much easier to clean and I will be replacing Mr Stiffy soon.

my laundry tub would flood and make a terrible mess...no more with mr. stiffy....

Best item yet for keeping the laundry tub from getting clogged.

Great product, it's the first product that works. Needs to have tubular mesh filter over it but works great
