Funny story the kids love it

One of a nice little series of children's Ladybird books. All priced around the £4.99 mark. They are very slim (pictured next to my HD 10 for scale), and all seem to be between two and three hundred words in length. These are paperbacks, but the card used for the front cover is good quality and thanks to it's shiny surface will survive a wipe with a damp cloth. Each storybook has a small section at the beginning that suggests ways to engage with your child as you read and also a smaller section at the end that helps you test your child's recall. This particular story is entertaining enough. A Big Pancake runs for his life pursued by numerous very hungry people. He does well...evades pursuit...then trusts...a very hungry pig. I'm not quite sure what the moral of this story is. But I'm sure your little one's will be suitably entertained by the fleet footed pancake's bid for freedom...

Grandson’s school was shut unexpectedly due to Covid. He had two school reading books which he knew backwards! This Level one book has given him extra practice, and stretched his four year old reading vocabulary. I intend buying more.

Excellent for teaching english as a foreign language too to preschoolers, then of course it is not about them reading it themselves but it is excellent reading material. Very very simple sentences and a great story.

Bought for my two grandchildren they love these books just right size to hold with little hands

bought to encourage my grandson to improve his reading skills whilst on school holiday. He thoroughly enjoyed the story and has become very confident with his reading skills. a very good buy.

The media could not be loaded.  My kids loved this book. This is good for beginners. Fonts are large and easy to read. The pictures shown in this book are colorful and the paper quality is good.

It's great to share this story that I grew up with to my kids.

Tolles Buch! Super Qualität zum super Preis! My daughter loves this story! I totally recommend it! The pictures are big and colourful. The text is big and easy in the 1st level.

This is a pretty good book for early readers and it encourages my child to learn to read and also stimulates questions & thoughts
