Even more fun than the original Operation. Well built and great for younger kids!
This is a very cool game! I was a little hesitant to buy it due to some reviews on here are really negative, but honestly I have no complaints.1-Unlike what other reviews say, my version does have a little light up knob that flashes when you hit a metal edge. It also makes a buzzing noise.2-The minion figures are rubber, unlike what another reviewer said. The game is very well built and is honestly a lot of fun. My son, who just turned 5, was able to play it and had fun. It is a little easier than the original operation due to it seems like there is a bit more room around the pieces, but it's still challenging. This game is a lot of fun. Just don't forget to have 2 AA batteries on hand because it doesn't come with any.

Fun Game, But Watch Out With the Included Miniature Minion Toys
This minion version of Operation is super cute, and works similarly to the regular version. The parts you have to try to get out with tweezers are different, however. My 6 year old and I enjoy playing this together, and he especially loves the minion theme. It comes with 4 cute, tiny, rubberlike minions (looking like they are dressed in scrubs/medical attire), which are adorable. That said, I kinda have issues with the little minion toys. My 6 year old likes to chew on stuff, and he really gets tempted to chew on these little guys. He found out they can bounce when you throw them, so they end up stewn around our house, tossed down the stairs, roll under the couch, etc. :) I find myself constantly chasing them down to get them back in the box, and when I'm not doing that, I am always reminding him that they are not to be chewed on. He was 5 when we bought this, and now he is 6 and getting better with it. That said, if you have younger kiddos than that in your household, these little minion toys (which are the texture of an eraser) look to be the perfect size to choke on if little hands get a hold of them. I know that the rest of the pieces of the Operation game are tiny and plastic, but the little minion toys (which are optional - they are not needed for the game) just seem like a serious choking hazard. If you buy this game and have younger toddlers, etc. I would personally get these out of sight and out of reach. I had another little kid over at our house who went straight for them and wanted to pop them in their mouth, so up and away they went for now. :)Overall, I would recommend this game for any minion fan. Very cute!

Fun gift for the family
Bought this as a gift for a 4 year old and he loved it! We've tried to get him to play board games before but as a 4yr old boy, he's fairly impatient and doesn't like to sit down for lengthy games. He's also still pretty young to understand the concept of a game like Life or Monopoly. This was a concept he could easily grab -- and we let him buzz as much as he had to. But he played with this for hours at his birthday party with the other kids. Just remember to bring batteries to the party! Also, 2 day shipping is a birthday crunch godsend. Tried to pick this up on my way home from a local target and they didn't carry it at all.

Bee-do Bee-do!
I have a confession. I bought this toy more for me, than my kids. Seriously, those little Minions are adorable...or should that be adorkable? Either way, if you like them, and remember how fun and challenging the original Operation was (ugh, that Adams apple was annoying), then get this for the family. It does come with four additional 'medical garbed' minions to use as tokens. The pieces to fish out are different than the original game and are themed toward the Minions/Despicable Me. I'm a bit more adept at "surgery" than I was at age 8 but my kids found it delightful challenging.

Cute variation on the classic game
What could be better than Minions mixed with Operation? This game is like the classic version, but with a Minion on the table and even funnier things to remove. As an extra bonus, there are Minion figures that can be used to add an additional twist to game play. This was a gift for my 5 year old as he is getting more into board games. He was really excited about the Minion characters and enjoyed playing, even though he needs a little practice.

"too loud" for sensitive hearing children
I loved operation as a kid..my daughter is 5 and i thought she would love this too. She loves the minions and saw this at toys r us (for near $30!) But i bought it off amazon Cause its cheaper..2 days later we got it...set up the game after dinner and my daughter was so excited..sadly when it started buzzing she covered her ears and started to cry (she has sensitive hearing so loud noises really effect her) we showed her that it was ok and she tried it a few times, both time while trying to cover her ears ..sadly she just didnt want to play cause it was "too loud" for her as she said and she kept crying :(..its really not that loud but if your child has any kind of special need, please keep the buzzing noise it makes in mind!We are planning on taking the battries out and hopefully she will wanna play it again... other then the noise being too loud for her,its cute and easy to set up!

Really Cute
This is a cute twist on the traditional game. My kids love it. I like that you can pull different combinations to collect the little minions. Makes the game a little more challenging. My four year old doesn't quite have the dexterity to skillfully remove anything, but he'll get there. The game pieces came in a little closable baggie so we can pack it up nicely and keep all the pieces. That was a nice touch.
