A++. . . Excellent binding post plugs & socket connectors better than many other brands we bought before. Its construction is much stronger and more rigid, it is securely attached to any material where you install it. The plugs connectors have screws to adjust cables and wires of gauges number 10 onwards as well as you can solder if you want. And the best of all is that when you insert the plug into the sockets it "goes in" without problems and stays fixed without being loose or coming out due to any movement. ((( Not like other brands that we have bought before that are loose: - The connectors are loosened from the cases, the diameter is not the same as the plug, others enter the socket connector with difficulty that until many times don't fit well or the plug must be closed a bit or open a bit it depending on the situation and this affects terribly when taking measurements and electronic calculations for not having good contact between plug & socket- ))) Great connectors make our safest and most reliable Electronic Life. We were also impressed by the gold plated that it has as this prevents oxidation and there is no static or bad conductivity between connector and plug, as well as when connecting it has no resistance due to sulfur oxidation and it enters smoothly. Those from oldies or cheap quality brands that they sell you a lot for a couple of dollars "when they rusted and sulfated" you must sanded to remove that rusty layer to get enter to make contact... We are very happy with those banana binding post set. . . Definitely we will buy more next month for our Solar Project Program... We recommended 100% Thanks!

Great connector for quick connect and disconnect use. Each connector also comes with a separate soldering tab for wire connections.

Quantity versus quality is the name of the game with these. This is a large quantity for low cost, but the quality does not match more expensive plugs. The male contact portion of the plug is crimped into the body of the plug and can pull out if significant side to side force is applied. They worked fine to connect speakers to an amplifier but might not be appropriate for high current carrying applications. I soldered wires into these and they accepted solder readily and easily. I did not use the enclosed screws to secure the wire so cannot comment on the security or reliability of this method of connection.

These inexpensive banana plugs should be fine for routine use. I just wanted some quick connectors for a variety of uses and these should do the job for as long as they last. The female posts are fine and are definitely useful for direct wiring connections. Not much that can go wrong with that. The male connectors do have some problems but they can be resolved. As received they fit far too loosely into the plugs, but that can be fixed easily by using a small screwdriver to bend the expandable blades further apart after which they can make good connections. A bigger problem is that these plugs are not really suitable for the smaller wires that I normally use in the 22 - 20 gauge range. The photo shows the set screw inserted almost all the way in. Any further and it will go completely through and fall out. Since the internal diameter is about 5 mm, that remaining gap between the set screw and the wall is a canyon. At least 12 gauge or preferably larger wire is required to use them as designed. I circumvented that issue with a kludge solution of running the wire into one of the set screw holes and out the other, and then locking it by screwing the cover back on tightly. That seems to work although it depends on a few threads in the plastic cover and is probably a future fault waiting to happen. But for now at least it seems to be okay. These are obviously cheap connectors but then they are also priced accordingly so I would rate them a 4 overall for reasonable value. If your expectations are consistent with what they are then they should work fine.

Had one banana plug which was overtightened and it felt like I'd snap the tip off, but all others worked well and it's an excellent value for money. Recommend thick gauge wire, the screws were almost shallow for the 14AWG I used.

I didn't expect Pomona quality for this price but I did expect something usable. The sockets are okay except the mounting screw does not have an insulating washer, therefore can't be mounted in a metal case without rigging some sort of insulation. On the other hand, the plugs are totally unusable because the splined shafts are not splayed enough to fit tight in the socket. This can be manually corrected, but five splines per plug times 20 plugs is a lot of unnecessary work. The photos show the plugs as received (inner), and after splaying the splines out (outer). Also, the set screws for the plugs are too short and too loose to be usable. Bottom line: It's cheap junk like this that gives Chinese products in general an undeserved bad reputation.

If I could complain about anything it would be nice to get more for the price but that's because, why not. This was exactly what it says it is. If you read some of the comments the ones that are negatives I did not encounter. I'm a diyer so if it is for a bigger gauge wire I'll make a bigger connection. The one about not being able to connect it to metal probably didn't actually remove the nuts and the plastic posts in the middle that the metallic shaft goes through. But hey if it's too difficult to figure out buy something that someone else made and don't be a diyer
