Lifesystems Light Sticks Lasting 8 Hours For Outdoors, Festivals Or Camping

Arrived just as advertised. thank you. They also arrived in a reasonable sturdy box, not shown in the above prescription.

Yeah they aren't the brightest, but given that they're meant as an emergency lighting source (not a party toy) which means light duration over brightness, why would that be a priority? As it stands, in total darkness, they give out enough light to be seen or for close-range illumination while not being so bright that they burn out your night-time vision. Perfect balance really in my opinion. They also seem to last quite well and need a firm deliberate 'snap' to get them going, so that reduces the possibility of finding a dud that's already been accidentally 'snapped' just when you need one. I wish that they offered a 4-pack of 2x white, 1x green and 1x red as an option. That would probably cover most people's usage as they are intended.

Pack of two. They're really rigid and hard to get to crack. I had to do the 1st one over the edge of a table where it proceeded to split and spray foul smelling liquid everywhere. The 2nd one managed to keep hold of its liquid but was so dull as to be effectively useless

The photo is after one hour, the keyboard behind it it considerably brighter, oh yes, and whoever designs these things anyway? I'm no 7 stone weakling, but it was as much as could do to crack this, if you're elderly, have arthritis, or if you're just not Superman, give these a miss, there're rubbish.

Only one of them worked. I’m a carpenter so I’m pretty strong and even I struggled to get them going. Either want 2 more or my money back.

Not bright enough. Lasts much longer than stated.

More orange or green than white. The plastic is really thick and rigid, hard to activate but should be resist to nearby anything. The luminosity is low. Enough to be seen far away, but too low to light up anything. Bought it as emergency light for the bike mechanics if I had a break down, but it will not do the job.
