Very good at improving visibility while driving
The very first step in using this product is to use a different gtechniq product that does not come with it. I had no idea that any other product was even suggested, but ultimately that other product is just a high quality glass cleaner, so you can skip those steps assuming that the glass on your car is clean. I'm very, very happy with the performance of the hydrophobic coating on my windshield. Depending on how much it's raining and how fast I'm driving, I don't have to use my windshield wipers at all because the water will bead up and run off the windshield on its own. Water does not ever form "sheets" on the windshield, it always beads up to small droplets, and if the droplets get too big, then they roll right off the windshield. Applying the product was fairly involved and definitely requires some elbow grease. I would start with the recommended 3 coats for the front windshield, 2 coats for the rear windshield, then use whatever is remaining preferentially on the driver and passenger front windows, then the rear windows. I barely had enough of the coating to get my entire car, which is why I'd recommend making sure that you can get the entire front and rear windshields with enough coats before applying to any windows. Overall I think it took me about 45 minutes to apply, and ~2 months on it still works very very well. I imagine it probably needs to be reapplied every 6-8 months, mostly depending on how long your car sits outside in the elements.

Wait for it to cure? It does work great!
At first I was not impressed. It took a considerable amount of work to apply. And it rained within days of applying, and unless I was going 50+ mph it did not work very well. Well, wait a week or two and it cured fully? Or it polished? I don't know, but wow! It's been over a month now and this stuff works great. Hardly need wipers at all. Very impressed! Hopefully it lasts the 6 months or so that they state it does.

Too hard to work with
You don’t get much, barely enough for one car. Residue is excessive and hard to get off. I had to use wet paper towels as a microfiber towel still left a haze. Leaves a heavy white residue on anything black that it touches, even the rubber around the windows.

Can't Say One Way or Another
I followed the directions, cleaned the glass with everyday glass cleaners, alcohol and then water. Applied three coats of G1 as directed, in 5~10 minute intervals. Let it dry. Then came the remover and that's where it lost me. I used all of the remover to get the G1 off of the two side windows and rear window of my car. It came off but I hope they didn't intend for there to be any remover left over. It rained today and I drove the car and the G1 coated windows do seem to be mostly clear of water and no residue or spots. I had a detailer put Silicon on the windshield and I think the G1 works better, but the G1 is on the side windows so not facing directly into the incoming rain and may give an appearance of different results. Overall, I probably won't use this again. There are probably easier applications

i use this on all our families cars. A 15ml bottle goes a long way. it does recommend to do the windshield thrice but i do 2 coatings on the windshield and 1 coat on all other windows. It lasts up to a year but provides great waterproofing for about 9-10 months before it dwindles down. It makes driving on rainy days that much safer. When applying i use autoglym glass polish to clean the glass first and then apply. The residue is a little tricky to remove and 15ml of the residue remover is not enough. you will have to buff with quite a lot of strength to remove but the results are well worth it. I recommend it to everyone.

They key to this product is preparation! You need to clean the glass properly first. I used a glass polish (Ceriglass) with a Rayon Glass Polishing pad on a machine polisher. Then used Isopropyl to remove any residue. Three coats of G1 on the windscreen and one on the rest of the glass. Leave 5 mins between coats, then you can use the supplied remover but they don't give you enough, so just use Isopropyl again and also use it to clean the wipers. In fact, I am pretty sure that's what's in the bottle anyway. Make sure you do all this on a warm, overcast and dry day or undercover. Do not apply in direct sunlight. Do not allow it to get wet for 24 hours. Once cured it lasts at least 2 years, well it does when I apply it. Zero judder on wipers. It's great when done properly - water just fly's off the glass. You don't even need wipers at times and your glass is less prone to frost and bugs don't stick to it so well. I've used this on four cars now, with the only issues on the first car and that was my fault for not cleaning the glass well enough first. Lesson learnt. Anyone having issues, it's you, not the product.
